Hello lovelies! Did anyone miss me? No? Okay...

My mom and I braved Ulta last night because they had some pretty sweet deals going on, and I managed to snag the Anastasia Beverly Hills Aurora palette for $24. I've been wanting to experiment with highlighters, since I want to still look like I did something with my face if I'm not feeling up to (or don't have time for) my usual cat eye, y'know? Or if I just feel like I wanna be extra colorful and sparkly. I wish I could've gotten the newer one- Blue Moon?- but I can't swing it. Stupid Black Friday, falling the week AFTER I get paid so all my money's gone to bills and shit...

Also, I switched to the Juice Beauty Stem Cellular CC cream and I would recommend it. It's got decent coverage and feels really nice on. That along with some concealer and setting powder and I'm good!
 
I got paid and bought the Heavy Metals palette from UD because I didn't have any shimmery eye shadows left, but I'm just realizing I've never used foiled shadows before. Any tips? I do own glitter glue if that would help it stay on. They were just too pretty to pass up on, and 10% off wasn't bad.

Lush makes great soaps, bathbombs, and lotions. However, I find the rest of their products, particularly the cosmetics and shampoos/conditioners, to not be spectacular enough to warrant the price. If your concern is that you want something more natural, cruelty-free, etc., consider looking in to Tarte. Personally, I consider Tarte to be much better for what you pay than Lush, who is comparison is kinda mediocre for cosmetics like lipstick. Stick to Lush for bath stuff specifically.
 
Tarte is fantastic. I get one of the big cheek stains in tickled every couple of years. It lasts the entire time without melting or going rancid and has never made me break out (I use it both on cheeks and lips). Their mascara is pretty good (I prefer benefit but ymmv) and they have a nice range of grown up colors in eyeshadow.

If you are looking for not so grown up colors, I can not recommend colourpop strongly enough. I actually had to stop buying eyeshadow because I still only have 2 eyes.
 
Tarte mascara is nice but does get kinda dry by the end of the day. Urban Decay's Perversion has a similar lash effect to Tarte's Lights, Camera, Lashes.
 
Tarte is one of my favorite beauty brands for sure. I love the blushes. I really want to get more cheek stains, I'm waiting to snap up a gift set. I love the lipsurgence line, I have issues with most lip products texture but I really like those.
Lights, camera flashes is my favorite mascara for when I want a natural look and am not wearing much other makeup... I guess it's not supposed to be like that but I find with one coat it works for me.

I've heard really good things about tarte maracuja oil. Any thoughts? I'm more into making my own skincare at the moment because so much stuff is crazy overpriced.
 
A few months ago, I decided to throw some money towards trying Korean cosmetics.

I bought these two adorable products that I just can’t get enough of:

I caught this one at a reduced price ($7). While that does sound extremely expensive, the balm itself is a jelly- like consistency and spreads quite easily, which means you don’t have to use very much at all. In fact, you don’t need much to get a nice gloss at all. It might be a little sticky and super glossy, but it doesn’t dry out fast at all and leaves my lips feeling very soft and hydrated. It also comes with a cute wooden “ladle” so you don’t have to dab your finger in. I definitely recommend this for anyone with dry, chapped lips.

Also a small package, but extremely adorable! The product spreads easily and I only need a spoonful to cover up my face. It also comes with moisturizing boba pearls at the bottom, but they are hard to dig out without making a mess, and they don’t blend well with the mask. My skin feels really smooth the morning after, the only thing I don’t like about it is how sticky it feels on my skin before it dries. I also can’t shift around as much in my sleep lest I rub off the mask. I’d recommend putting this on an hour before bed so it can dry first.

I really enjoyed the fact that it effectively saps excess oil while also being moisturizing. After this I want to try the black tea boba pack (it’s collagen based and tightens your skin).

I’m quite suckered in now. While Korean cosmetics may seem small and pricey, often times you don’t need much to get good pay off. I found the lip balm comparable to $30 hydrating lipsticks and gloss, so it seemed like a pretty good bargain to me at $7-10.

Anyways, I wanted to delve into skin care a bit more, what do you guys recommend for oily skin? It doesn’t have to be Korean (though that would be nice), and I think I’m starting to get addicted to facial masks.

Innisfree have two lines for oily skin - the Bija ones and the Green Tree seed ones, both of which work really well and don't dry out the skin. Also Innisfree is good quality, smells good and isn't super expensive. The Bija Trouble lotion is supposed to be excellent for oily skin to help balance it and keep it exfoliated with AHAs or whatnot so you don't break out under makeup.

Etude house is adorable and their stuff seems to be good, too. My friends is really into Korean skincare and after Christmas im going to hit her up for suggestions.
One thing I really like is snail essence. As gross as it sounds, my skin always looks noticeably better after using it. I bought a random collagen sheet mask from daiso last week and after noticing it worked really well I checked it and yep.. snail.

Innisfree is what I use for daily skincare and it is amazing. During summer I prefer the Green Tea line. For the winters, when it's super dry outside, I switch to their Jeju Seawater line for extra moisture.

That 16 is likely designed for very fat young girls. I don't think it's designed with the curves of an adult woman in mind - probably no darts for breasts for one thing as very fat young girls often have Amy Slaton breasts (aka gathering of fat without being a proper round breast).
 
Yeah, I know :(. I have another 16 that I think looks decent on me, but it also has a defined bodice.
I'm honestly just surprised they make it in a 16, and their website says it's meant for someone with measurements 33-27-36 but 5'0" to 5'2", which isn't fat at that height.

i still kinda want to buy it though :(.

That is a super cute dress, no doubt. It'd be something I'd wear to work with like a cardigan or light jacket.

I really want the noir, blood, or victory red ones; but I'd end up looking like a stop sign no matter what red I wear.
