Yes! It's not the right choice if you want the "dewy" look offered by many Korean BB and CC creams, and it will cake and cling to any patches of dry skin if you don't layer it over a serum and/or moisturizer. It blends really well, but isn't terribly buildable - more of a "your-skin-but-better" than a "flawless finish" sort of thing. It does have a bit of a scent, and you can feel that you're wearing something, so maybe take a pass if your skin is especially sensitive.
I have to import mine because I don't live in the US. It is on the pricier side.
Seconding this. I actually don't even need to buy makeup remover, because the makeup erasers remove all of my makeup with just some warm water. (Obviously I wash my face with cleanser right after, though.)I have medium skin and combination skin, if this helps anyone. I've tried a lot of BB creams over the years.
Personally, I love using Laneige's BB cushion - great coverage, and it feels light. Perfect for people who want dewey looking skin. I think this would suit someone with dry skin well. They no longer sell this at Sephora but they do sell it at Target in the US.
Your best bet for pale shades is actually Korean brands. Although if you're super white, like porcelain white, I don't know of many. If you're not that pale, other brands for dry skin in a range of paler shades include the Missha BB Cream (one of my personal favourites too when not using the cushion), Skin79, and Holika Holika.
I like micellar water, choose the waterproof stuff. I also LOVE the makeup eraser they sell at Sephora. They have the expensive one ($25 CAD) and there's the store-brand Sephora ones, 2 for $15 I think. You just need to put hot water on the cloths and wipe. They're reusable too, so no need to continually spend on crappy disposable wipes. I wear that super strong Marc Jacobs liquid liner that does not come off and it comes off easily with these cloths.
I have the ulta-brand makeup eraser cloths. I think mine were like two for $10-12 ish (i bought them a while ago so I can't remember off the top of my head). But I actually prefer the ulta brand to the original Makeup Eraser brand cloths. The ulta ones I have are dark grey, so they don't look as gross as quickly as the Makeup Eraser ones (which are pink and look disgusting after one use)@PropaGONDA I'm getting more and more curious about those makeup erasers. Would you recommend the name brand over the Sephora brand? It sounds like it does a good job if it gets that MJ liner off.
@Blake Bumbleby that sounds magical. The makeup remover I use doesn't cause me any irrtation but I'd love to stop throwing out so many wipes and remembering to restock them.
