Pro tip for manicures: if yours is growing out and you aren't ready to go back yet, you can fill in the base of your nail with glitter polish, which is distracting enough to look intentional.

Or you can find a colour that blends in with it if you hate glitter.

KF was being lame thanks to troons back when this comment was made, so I couldn't reply to this thread and then later forgot once KF was working again. But I did buy this Tom Ford Lost Cherry dupe, and it's definitely the best dupe I have bought, it's almost identical. It also lasts the longest.

I really love it. One thing all the dupes seem to fail at tho is the cherry smell is more apparent in the original. Still worth buying this over the original. Thanks @yasscat for the rec!
 
I ran out of my black eyeshadow the other day and forgot to buy some when I was in town, so I mixed charcoal with my BHA oil. Tricky stuff to apply, in the end I looked a lot more like I was doing a Camina Drummer cosplay than I'd intended for just a normal evening out, but at least I felt very resourceful and accomplished.
 
I have found my HG self-tanner (utan Turbo Mousse) and feel like a goddess right now because of it lol. It applies so easily and is totally even and natural looking, I don’t think anyone else would even tell I had fake tanned which is what I aim for. Not even a single rough looking bit even around my hands and feet and it’s fading so well. Plus it smells like cherry almond. Legit in love with this shit.

I’m in the mood to buy a new lipstick if anyone has any recs. I’m NW20 / light with warm undertones.

I’m not into looking tan myself, but self tanners do contain an antioxidant that is beneficial and adds some extra protection against the sun. Remember SPF anyway.

Now there's a question. Is there any self-tanner that's particular great in this regard? I don't use them either, I'm just curious.
 
I started getting lash extensions, and it's a game changer. I never really liked false eyelashes; time to apply and I thought they looked stupid half the time. I also tried Lashify and thought it was too much upkeep. The extensions are nice - just go to the professional and have gorgeous lashes for a couple of weeks. I hate doing eye makeup, and I pretty much don't have to with the extensions. They just make my face look better in a way mascara and false lashes didn't.

There are a lot of downsides, though. It's expensive, and takes 1-2 hours to apply. I got a 60 minute application less than two weeks ago, and need to go back already. I got less than a full application, so I'm hoping a full application will last a little longer. I hate having to spend a lot of time at beauty appointments, it's a big part of why I started bleaching my hair blonde at home, so I could do whatever I wanted during the time it takes instead of sitting at the salon. But I like them so I'll see how long I can keep them up without getting tired of maintenance. They really look great.

Another thing I started doing recently is glossing my hair. I just buy the John Frieda Luminous Glaze and do it at home. It makes my hair shiny af and it's really simple.

Depends on the lipstick. Some lipstick does that, but others have non-transfer recipes and then there's this stuff that's like a top-coat that seals in the lipstick so it doesn't smudge at all.
 
I have a makeup Q: was going to try Maybelline concealer to replace my very old but OG formula Dermablend Chroma 0. The new formula sucks ass, and I like the thickness and bakeability of the OG cause my under eye circles are out of control. Not going with Maybel since they teamed with the tranny; suggestions?

I know I'm late with this, but I bought the WTFoundation and the Miracle Balm from Jones Road and HATED both of them.

The foundation and balm never set, I felt like I had lipgloss smeared on my face. My hair would stick to my face. It was a bit messy in the jar as well, it separated and I would have to stir it every time I used it.
I tried everything I could to make it work, but couldn't get past the stickiness.

Gave them to my sister, and she loves them. Go figure, but at least they're getting used.

- Unless you are one of those people who try to completely alter your coloring for whatever reason.

Once you know your type, you can find advice on what patterns will look best on you as well as which finishes of makeup and jewellery you should be wearing.

If you are between 2 seasons where your veins look both green and blue, you can use the pattern in your iris as a guide.
