I really need to bust out my Caption stamping plates I got at work... The patterns are so awesome but I never have time, it's usually three coats of something that I had to speed-dry with drying drops to even get it done.

I just deep conditioned my hair for the first time (I used Aussie 3 Minute Miracle if anyone's curious) and holy shit it is like 13898392478934x better and softer and more manageable oh my god this was a life changing experience

If you're not deep conditioning your hair go do it right fucking now holy SHIT

Dude, never underestimate the power of a good hair mask. I try to clarify my hair and deep-condition it once a week with a different mask (I have several because I get them for stupid cheap where I work and they all have different uses SHUT UP I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM) because I color my hair a lot and it's, like. Deep-fried.

Oooh, I'll have to look into different types more. For now I just have the most basic one I could find just so I could get used to doing it

I used to color my hair religiously from high school up until last year because it got to the point where it looked like old over-brushed Barbie hair and I had no choice but to either stop coloring/bleaching it or cut it all off (I also had no idea how to take care of my hair like a responsible adult)

If I ever do decide to color it again I'll probably go darker instead because I'm not patient enough to let my natural color grow in and the brown I put in right before I decided to stop dyeing it is so faded that it almost looks blonde again. (And I'll actually take care of it this time, probably!)

I'm having to go the opposite direction at the moment. I'm allergic to a certain type of pigment that most haircolors have, but I found a couple of lines that didn't give me too much trouble until this last touch-up. So I'm basically going to have to transition slowly to all-blonde hair again, but since I'm 1) growing my hair out and 2) already brunette on most of my length, I have to get creative. I can lift maybe another level safely without having to cut anything off, but after that I'll be progressively using a lighter color until I can start lifting my roots.

Once it's all blonde again I'll be fine, I'll just have to keep it toned, but getting there is gonna take a while.

The other day I started to use St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub and I fell completely in love with it. I haven't had dead skin due to winter weather on my face for days and it makes your skin so soft. Not to mention it dose help deal with blemishes like it says. Use this then apply some cocoa butter after you wash it off and you will have soft skin all day

If you are looking for a good affordable face mask I really suggest this.

I recently got this dress in the mail a couple of weeks ago. I also ordered these socks to match. I already have a bunch of accessories for the coord/outfit.

Innocent world is really sweet, they sent me a hand written letter, thanking me for shopping. And their quality is very good. Luckily I'm petite, so I'm able to fit in the clothes.

I found this dress at a thrift store this weekend, fell in love with it, and bought it only to find out that it's way too small for me because I misread the label and only looked at the UK size so it's actually way too small for my American ass :heart-empty:

At least now I have motivation to try to lose weight because I am not letting that $5 or however much it was go to waste and it is way too cute to never wear

Anyone else disappointed they can't dress cute due to school/work/whatever? I'm enrolled in art school and my studio classes are too messy for me to wear anything I care about to. I have to constantly wear old clothes and I look frumpy and boring.
It's funny, I was looking forward to no dress code in college, but other circumstances still don't let me dress how I like.

I work in a warehouse and a garden nursery so I know the feeling.

I know how you feel. I work in a place where they want us to dress professionally, but we spend a lot of time dusting, handling cardboard boxes, and sitting on the floor, and there's tons of fixtures and extraneous plastic shit hanging off the shelves for us to rip our clothes (and sometimes our skin) on. Until I can start billing corporate for the nice $30-50 tops and skirts I've ruined on all the shelf extrusions and impulse racks and broken totes, I'm wearing old, ratty stuff.

I know what you mean. Over winter break I had a seasonal job in retail at a children's store. Our dress code was extremely conservative. We couldn't show our shoulders and skirts had to cover our knees. Pants couldn't show any of our ankle. I have trouble finding pants that fit me in both the waist and leg length so I wore a skirt and tights every day I worked there. I was always scared I would tear my tights on the cardboard boxes (which were sharp enough to cut my skin), the escalator, or the metal shelves in the stock room.

Sorry to necro a thread, but @bloodcoffee inspired me to finally bust out my nail stamping plates and I wanted to share.

I have a feeling I'll do better with a larger, less detailed pattern, but hey, I didn't do too bad for a beginner, right? (Also, please excuse my disgustingly dry hands. I spend most of my days handling cardboard in one way or another and it doesn't seem to matter how much moisturizer I slather my skin in, my hands will still end up dry and hurting at the end of the day.)

My base color was "Fairest of Them All" by Fair Maiden Polish, and my accent nail is "Coal Hands, Warm Heart" by China Glaze. The stamping was done with "Look, Don't Touch" by Young Nails.

I had fun, even though my first try didn't look all that great, and I'm excited to play with my new plates some more.

This is very pretty. Are nail plates easy to use? I always manage to fuck up my nails but it would be cool to have patterns at the ends of my fingers...

Wait until you work in an office and they start bitching about piercings or weird hair.

I actually did get bitched at for my hair when I had a job over the holidays :(
My hair bleached very blonde (nearly white) and my HR manager hated it. I let the toner wash out of it so it became a more natural blonde during my time there

Reasons to be enrolled in entirely digital studio courses. I am and I get to dress cutely every day. Of course I'm going to go blind later from staring at a computer screen all day every day but whatever, it's worth it.

My intended major is either video game design or sound design, both of which are entirely digital. I just have to survive the required foundation year which involves a lot of messy materials. Next quarter one of my studio classes is sound synthethis which will be fully digital and I am so excited to be able to wear nice clothes to 2/3 of my classes now.

It takes some getting used to. I'm not sure about other brands but the Young Nails plates I have are really shallow, so you have to spread the polish, roll the stamper over the pattern, and get it on your nail pretty quick. But it dries really fast too.

I got my conch pierced! Titanium internally threaded labret with cabochon white opal end.

(Excuse my ugly acne scars and the redness in my ear--this was taken right after I had it pierced.)
