Remember girls, don't buy Chinese products, buy your own silver for minor jewelry and find a good shop near you and have them custom made, steel is obviously cheaper and easier to produce just make sure it's low carbon/stainless steel.

A fair warning to you lot average chink/Filipino/Malaysia "precious metals" are just copper with gold silver paint that erode over time and if you have copper allergy, you have to deal with red and/or swollen skin

Why do I know this? Metallurgy and regular contact with jewelry shop owners.

I wonder if the cow dress was custom made for them and they want to keep the seamster to themselves.
Mmm I dunno, why wouldn't you just say a friend made it and it's not for sale, then?

She gets traction from people asking about it and then turns off her comment section. On the videos where she's left the comments up, shes liked every comment that asks where it's from but replies to nobody about it.

I'm still convinced it's not custom and can be bought somewhere, she's just hiding it because she wants to be ✨ unique✨

Honestly? Probably got them at their local shopping mall, at one of the no-name fly-by-night Colombian/Chinese slutwear stores. Every mall has one. Some sell prom dresses in the back. Giving the name would reveal her location.

I'll check a couple chain slutwear websites but that's my theory.

People who bought Kay skin are really surprised her stuff sucks. It seems people really expected a model with a skin disease could make something that does not suck.

Tbh im kinda jealous of the people who can buy Clairs costume jewelry and not have their skin turn green or some other allergic reaction.

It frustrated me as a kid that I always had to make sure my jewelry pure gold or silver which guaranteed the jewelry would be expensive.

I've had really good luck with Unique Vintage for ages but I just bought some of their flash sale stuff and holy disappointment. Their shit isn't cheap but it FEELS cheap as shit. I'm genuinely afraid to wash the Terry romper because I feel like it'll literally disintegrate. It's Smak Parlour brand, which isn't usually total trash. And the stitching around the middle is off so the lines aren't clean.

Another romper is creased like fucking paper but way too thin to iron and the ribbon straps are like dollar store ribbon. The thing feels like rice paper or something, seriously.

I also got some pants and the material is so fucking thin too, like even Fashion Nova has better quality pants (actually some of my go to work jeans are Fashion Nova). The stitching seems abysmally weak, I could have done the same on my crappy sewing machine.

If i had bought this stuff full price I would be beyond pissed off. As it is I still paid way too much. I've never seen clothing this cheap and shitty from them before. I look hot in it but it won't last me three wears.

That's sad about Unique Vintage, I really liked what I got from them in the past, but it is a shame it seems like they are going down in quality.

🤔 Anyone know anything about tallow for skincare?

I've noticed that a few times in the last two decades. A company will start off strong and build a fanbase, then once they're established its off to China.

I personally love getting dressed up once every couple months to go to dinner, often in a suit and tie when weather permits (fiancée typically goes with a dress or blouse/skirt). I am sort of the odd one out in that regard when it comes to my friend group, though.

I get why there's some resistance to it, particularly due to the elitist impression it can give off, but I still kind of wish it became common again. It helps establish a nice ambience when you're surrounded by people who are dressing to impress, and it feels like more of a special occasion. But maybe I'm just old-fashioned.

I was just talking to my husband about how it's annoying that nobody dresses up anymore. I have some fancy outfits and a little designer wear, but I can't wear it anywhere without looking overdressed because it's become socially acceptable to wear jeans and hoodies everywhere. My sibling graduated college and people there were dressed like they were going to Wal-Mart.

I will absolutely go to a place with an established dress code. Ruths Chris Steakhouse supposedly has one but I've seen people there in ripped jeans and tank tops.

Yeah, I’m all for places setting dress codes if they want to make it feel like a bit of an event to go there. Nice restaurants, live theater… seeing everyone else dressed up a little makes it feel even more special. I always enjoy it.

Unfortunately, the people I know in person who feel this way also think that everywhere should have the same dress code, always. Like an old department head who would mildly criticize us for showing up to teach in, say, nice jeans and a tasteful top. At least where I am, it’s hard to find people in the middle ground between “living in yoga pants” and “living in three-piece suits.“

Had something pop up recently and thought it would be good to share this for, idk more coverage or something.
I've been told all my life "girls/women MUST shave their armpits" and when I ask 'why' I've always gotten the response "Cause it's good hygeine". And then there's no answer when I follow through and say "why don't you demand your husbands or sons shave for their hygeiene?"
Well, I have the answer to why an occasional shave in the pits is not good femenine hygeine but good hygeine for everyone:
I thought my clothes were making me smell, but even after multiple showers and my weekly clothes washing, the smell didn't go away. It was a different smell than normal.
Trust your nose everyone. You can smell fungi, sickness, and diabetes.

I honestly hate body hair so much and think it should be more culturally normalised for males to remove more of theirs as standard. the double standard is bullshit and body hair is normal, etc etc, but damn I just hate it lol and I take care of my own religiously. at least keep your junk shaved, boys. but so many guys need better hygiene habits in general when it comes just to washing themselves properly. less body hair would make it easier. plus smooth skin feels so good. sperg sperg sperg.

I’m someone who tends to look fancy by other peoples standards even when I’m seriously casual by my own, and I really miss people generally putting more effort in. I’m all for venues setting dress standards. I get the elitist argument - but no one’s asking you to dress up to go grocery shopping or a coffee catch up with your bestie - just to take some basic pride in your appearance when Going Out. to dress befitting the occasion, to accentuate whatever is special about it. I swear it is just another symptom of the anglospheres lazy entitlement and taking everything for absolute granted. fashion is fun, dressing up is fun, being able to afford a nice dinner out or a theatre show is fun. to me dressing up is just part of savouring the experience and amplifying it in my memory.

I agree with dressing to fit the occasion. But I also work some dirty manual labor jobs so dressing up and going out is a special occasion for me. I do think it's funny when I come straight from work and people think I'm in their store "up to no good". Legit had one woman say something completely left field, I think she though I was homeless.
I don't think body hair is inherently nasty or uncouth, I just don't agree with the double standard and people getting mad at me for questioning it.

I'm with you. I don't care all that much about leg hair either way, prefer it for both men and women if pubes are neatly trimmed, but boy oh boy I dislike pit hair. One of my least favorite parts of summer is seeing a bunch of guys playing pick-up basketball games down the street and showing off their sweaty, scraggly Troll doll heads under there every time they take a shot.
