Does anyone have any good fashion tips or clothing brands for long torsoed women? Finding clothes that fit isn’t an issue for me (most of the time), but I hate that most shirts will show off my stomach when I raise my arms up.

Do you tends to wear pants with a lower rise? I'm a guy so my experience might not translate, but I have a long torso and I always buy trousers with a mid to high rise. They stop the shirt lifting problem, make it actually possible to tuck my shirt in if I want, and balance my proportions.

Just out of curiosity, why would anyone want to wear a skirt? I mean apart from them kinda looking pretty cool, wouldn't almost every practical application be achieved far more efficiently with shorts or even leggings?

I wear dresses mostly and skirts occasionally because I am tall and extremely long waisted. Pants are frequently physically uncomfortable. I wear leggings under them except for summer.

Funny you mention that because hiking is one of the few instances in the summer where I don't wear skirts or dresses because it just feels too fancy traipsing through the woods in such attire and if I go off the beaten path, the skirt might get caught in a branch (which is often if I am in the woods foraging). I usually wear shorts, especially if it is long distance.

Higher waist and longer skirt lengths can balance it out. Also avoid uniqlo tops at all costs, every one I've tried on has been a weirdly baggy crop top on me.

Its an awesome concept to help with darning! Also, seems like if you weave enough thread back into the jeans, you can "fix" them. Ive been trying it on some old jeans that ive worn through and im pretty happy with the result, just need more practice.

To preface, I’m a dude (at least to the best of my knowledge), and I wanted to ask this question outside of my similarly fashion-minded pals. I’ve had the same two pairs of Viberg boots for about 8 years. They’re great and are easily the best pairs of footware I’ve ever possessed (definitely worth saving up for as a poor), but I’m getting kind of tired of them. Do you lot have any recommendations for boots of similar quality and value?

My favorite work boots have been the RedWing Irish Setter.
Some other boots include Danner, Timberland, and Carolina.
The trendy boots are DocMartins, but i dont recommend those.
I do have some nice Dr Scholls dress boots that i love to walk around town in.
Clarks are classic looking.
Nunn Bush are great, but they dont break in easy.
Hell if you can afford Ferragamo, fucking go for it. That and Jimmy Choo always makes me salivate.
(Everything i wear is mens stuff.)

I've only looked at men's fashions, never worn, but I don't think there's any footwear brand out there that looks better on a guy than Ferragamo

You could look into Guidi. Their leather and craftsmanship are gorgeous. The front and back-zip boots are popular in avant garde/ darkwear circles (I really want a pair myself...), but they offer a more traditional lace-up boot that looks beautiful as well imo.

I like solovair boots - they are very similar in style to docs but a huge step up in quality.

Solovair use the same factory Docs used to be made in when they had a good reputation, before they outsourced manufacturing overseas. The classic styles like the lace up boots and chelseas are identical except for the tag and stitch colours, so they're definitely the better option unless you're precious about what brands you're seen wearing.

In summer I find that it cools you down more than shorts, especially if we're talking something like jean shorts. It's also a better way for the elderly and women with extra chonky legs to stay cool and not traumatize the neighborhood.

-How do the men in your congregation usually dress?

Context: I'm going to be out of town during Holy Week and a friend invited me to attend Mass on Palm Sunday and Good Friday with him. We're both men and he's Catholic, but I'm curious as to the typical attire in your churches.

Generally for church just a nice button up and decent slacks will be fine anywhere. Most places aren't so uptight that full suits are expected, about the only people I've seen wear that (granted this was Protestant) were the 70+ people.

In my church, dresses/blazers were acceptable; though I was bitched at if the blouse was low-cut despite other women literally wearing tight short skirts and cowboy boots to church. The only women that wore slacks was one 70+ woman.
