In my church, dresses/blazers were acceptable; though I was bitched at if the blouse was low-cut despite other women literally wearing tight short skirts and cowboy boots to church. The only women that wore slacks was one 70+ woman.
Yeah, it's probably both regional and denomination.

I've been really into nails lately and have bought a lot of supplies to do my own press-on nails. AliExpress has been shitty lately and a lot of my orders never ship or are super slow to. Amazon is pretty overpriced in comparison. Does anyone have any good US based storefronts? For both nail supplies and gel polish.

You could look into Guidi. Their leather and craftsmanship are gorgeous. The front and back-zip boots are popular in avant garde/ darkwear circles (I really want a pair myself...), but they offer a more traditional lace-up boot that looks beautiful as well imo.
Guidis are kind of overhyped but the general craftsmanship is good. However, the zipper is complete shit and will break at some point and the insole is non-existent so you will need to buy a pair. I highly recommend getting the soles vibramed as well for additional grip and to protect the sole. It's definitely a casual wear shoe so don't expect to be able to go hiking/etc with them. You can find used pairs for pretty cheap if you're not willing to drop retail on them. Marsèll is a cheaper alternative as well.

It's definitely regional/cultural. I've attended Catholic mass in multiple countries and there's enormous variation in levels of formality expected, even the degree of sex segregation in the seating arrangements. If you're in Europe or North America though, you're most likely perfectly safe with a business-casual, button-up and slacks combo paired with decent (i.e. not sneakers) shoes.

Grew up in a southern baptist area (non religious personally), but women's sunday best was a blouse that you could NOT see a bra strap or any outline of the bra, a skirt that went past the knees, and flats or low heels. No ankle boots, nothing too high heeled. And panty hose must be worn. Tasteful necklace, usually silver, and earrings, nothi g big and dangling. Nothing that "made you look like a whore". But that was 20 years ago and i dont know how that area has changed in the sunday attire. Black churches have a whole different set of rules. Huge hats, colour suits and dresses, purses that matched. It really depends on where youre going.

I was raised Catholic! In my church, women wearing dress pants is fine and a lot of women wore them on Sunday. Unless it is a special holiday or something like Christmas or Holy Week, the dress code is mostly business casual, but since you will be going to mass on holy week, then maybe dress up a little bit more.

Sounds good. It'd likely be in a suburb of Boston and I think we'll be attending on at least Palm Sunday and Good Friday; I fly home prior to Easter, sadly.

Would a jacket and tie be too much?

No, I wouldn't say so, particularly around Easter as that's arguably an even more important holiday in the Christian calendar than Christmas is. As long as it's not, like, black-tie/tuxedo levels of formal (now that probably would be overboard), that sounds perfectly appropriate for the area and occasion.

Sounds good. I asked my friend and he doesn't own a suit but I'll see if he has a tie. I may wear a blazer but I don't want to be more overdressed than he is.

you'll just do a forwarding thing at the post office. if you go in to post office it's free, if you do it online you are charged.

I have been enjoying the skull earrings I bought from Etsy for Halloween (they’re subtle as hell so I wear them all the time) and I look forward to buying more from GothicOrbJewelry (the seller). I already bought the dragonscale ones too.

Also, does anyone own any Rothy’s, Allbirds, or Tieks flats? I have been looking to get a good pair of black flats for the summer and those have been on my mind the most.

I FUCKING LOVE TIEKS. I have...three? Four? pairs. I'm even wearing a pair of custom painted tieks for my wedding shoes.

If I go along with those, it's either the matte black or the grey vegan (it's made with wool) ones. I had my eyes on those the most, but Rothys and Allbirds seem a little better with price ($125 and $100) and the fact you can wash them.

You can always use leather cleaner/polish for the matte black tieks. If price is what's holding you back, check out a tieks b/s/t group on facebook, or try mercari or poshmark. That's how I got all but one of my pairs, and I've had nothing but good experiences.

But if you live in an area where you're expecting your shoes to get dirty frequently, definitely get the ones you can wash.

I could probably use Klarna for a payment plan if I go with Tieks, but Rothys at least has afterpay. I'm a bit picky about buying stuff from Poshmark/Mercari unless it was a purse or jewelry.

I just bought one of those Halara Athleisure dresses and I'm giving it kind of a standing ovation as far as Easy Mode Cute/Casual.
I think they're a LITTLE pricey, but I am also very cheap so YMMV.
The fabric is Thick and Hold You Inny, and I think the built in bra is actually pretty decent (though, I dont think Bra Cups inside clothing are anything worthwhile). Its still cold where I live, so I am still wearing mine over leggings, so the jury is out on the built in shorts.

I love a "Put a Sweater On It" if its cold and "take the Sweater if its Hot" garment, though.

Anyone know where to get this dress from? This girl absolutely refuses to tell anyone where she bought it. I've spent the last 2 days trying all kinds of terms on Google.

Places I've checked:
Shein, Cider, ASOS, Dolls Kill, Akira, Amazon, eBay, AliExpress, Wish, Etsy, iEDM, I Heart Raves, and AmiClubwear. I've also checked second hand websites like Depop, Poshmark and Thread Up.

I know it's not OOAK because her two other friends also own the exact same dress. I NEED to own it and would appreciate any help! Thanks everyone!
