T-minus a few minutes until the Madonna halftime show with *checks notes*…Shakira and BTS. Blast to the past?
ronaldo / ronaldinho on that buggy with the old hag, what a fucking embarrassing goddamn clown show! all of these weird "celebrity" moments and the cherry on top was tom cruise (wtf) with his speech acting like the new world (Scientology) leader and trump desecrating the cup after 10 mins, lol... fifa and infantino should bite the dust.

edit: additional stuff

The gender bullshit didn't exist 36 years ago.
It sure did, but that is not what I meant. Her parents specifically named her Taylor as it is a gender-neutral name, and thus she might have a chance of becoming famous if industry folks didn't know she was female at first, and because it wasn't a bimbo-sounding Ashleigh or Cindee or Britnee or whatever the fuck. They said this themselves; they mapped out and funded her entire path to fame, NO MATTER THE MEDIUM. Dad, in his unhinged leaked email, wanted acting for her, then writing, then music...her parents are horrible people.

Madonna is a useless, dried up whore, her only talent and ability now is to quite literally suck the youth and life out of any white, blonde popular popstar at the current time.

Ahem. Old-ass woman here. It absolutely did. There were a lot of feminist/identity talking points that wormed their way into my field of view as a child. I was an edgy college kid that once thought I was oppressed and should have been born a man.

Topic: I was in a noisy bar watching the game, so I couldn't hear the halftime show, but I turned to my friends and asked "Is that Madonna? Where'd they dig her up from?"

I was surprised to hear she had a new album, but I don't suppose I'm shocked. She's always been an attention whore. Why would she calm down about that now?

Sally Jesse Raphael had a tranny talking about gender issues on in 1987. Paris is Burning came out in 1990. Geraldo had men in dresses explaining how they are lesbians in 1991. 1991 also gave us the outing of Caroline Cossey leading to much handwringing and lolsuits. RuPaul's big album came out in 1993, the talk show started in 1996. Ellen came out on Oprah in 1997. I could go on.

Assuming Iron meant tranny bullshit specifically, Christine Jorgensen was pre-Stonewall. While the trans social contagion surged post-2015, the T were a looming spectre long before that.

Gender neutral names were always a thing too, but became especially popular during the Hippie Movement and Second Wave of Feminism. Although ironically, it mostly just meant giving historically male names to girls than anything. That's where "Taylor" being a gender neutral name comes in. It's "gender bullshit," just the feminist kind versus tranny.

Thread tax that I completely forgot that Madonna even released a new album despite it being noted in-thread, so that should give what my answer to what I thought of it.

Assuming Iron meant tranny bullshit specifically,
I mean the horseshit indoctrination shit that goes on now. There was none of this in-your-face stuff or guys in girls school bathrooms.
Of course there were transvestites around back then. One lives up the road from me.
I mean there was even a movie character that became a meme from 1991.
I'd sooner believe she was named after Taylor ham.
