Blue Archive has been under fire recently for changing its gacha system.
Until recently when you wanted a certain student (characters) you had roll on their banner with a % chance of getting that student. if you rolled 200 times (one roll count as ten), you could use points called spark that would give you that student automatically. Now that changed so if you want that specific student when rolling on their banner, you get a spark after 100 rolls. Only this time, you get a 50/50% chance of getting that student and if you fail, you have to roll another 100 times to get a 100% chance. The problem is that spark points used to carry over between banners. That is no longer the case since all points will disappear when you get the student you are rolling for (so if you get the student at 180 for example, the spark will reset back to zero).

TL;dr:
- Getting 3* students that isn't on the banner does not reset the pity, nor does getting the different featured student on different banner. This means that if you get, say, Saori on Makoto's Summer banner, it wont reset the pity. Same goes if you get Summer Makoto when rolling on Summer Satsuki's banner.
