After they started inserting songs I never added into my playlists, and after they announced their hundred million dollar investment into military tech, I ditched them.
My (hardly a) conspiracy theory is that Spotify uses listener data to sell sentiment analysis to whomever is bidding. If the Whites are all playing heavy metal screamo music that day - Spotify can tell you to not announce the new 'fuck you and fuck yo kids' tax. But if they're listen to Simon & Garfunkle, now's the time to announce a new slate of 'dem programs for 'dem kidz n' sheeit.
