UK Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins dies in prison attack

Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins has died after being attacked in jail, prison sources have confirmed.

The disgraced rock star from Pontypridd was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield for child sex offences.

West Yorkshire Police said they were called to the prison on Saturday morning to an assault on a prisoner, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Watkins was jailed in December 2013 for a string of child sex offences, including the attempted rape of a baby.

I was quite a big fan of them back in highschool. Still like some of their tunes, but it's hard to listen to them these days knowing he was a literal baby rapist.

I have been following this case since years and I think I saw everything on YouTube about it. I even listened to the band's music and interviews. I was obsessed by the story and the psychology of Watkins. The case is fascinating because the band was at the top when the scandal was revealed, the band in general were seen as funny good blokes, and they had dedicated fans. Like a sudden plane explosion everything went into million pieces, the band quit and are anonymous musicians nowadays, fans erased them from their memory and Watkins started a journey in hell (he was attacked many times in jail) that ended 2 days ago.
I am not sad for Watkins today because he was a total POS let's be clear about it but I am sad that the lostprophets weird saga has come to a definitive end.

Watkins was a weird looking man.

First, he had an unusually narrow palate for a singer. That's not weird per se but vocalists usually have a nice spacious sound hole. His jet black hair was fooling no one and he dressed like a 14 year old up until his arrest. Those wrinkles around the eyes should tell any man it's time to start dressing like Noel Gallagher.
