UK Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins dies in prison attack

Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins has died after being attacked in jail, prison sources have confirmed.

The disgraced rock star from Pontypridd was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield for child sex offences.

West Yorkshire Police said they were called to the prison on Saturday morning to an assault on a prisoner, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Watkins was jailed in December 2013 for a string of child sex offences, including the attempted rape of a baby.

Depending on what these people did during the attack, they'll likely have their sentences increased if they are currently 'lags' or 'behind bars'.

If they are already in for life, it'll mean nothing to them - they can only do one life sentence.

If they are in for 15 years, for instance, they'll have time added on to their sentence.

However, if they are guards or prison staff (as some in gossip communities are suggesting) then this will be a dereliction of duty and they will definitely face charges and be sent to prison.

No I know but when it says ‘arrest’ you think about authorities putting on handcuffs and taking you to jail. But they are already imprisoned so the fuck do they arrest them to? Their freedoms were already arrested!

It signals the beginning of fresh criminal proceedings. Even nonces and nonce killers get due process in custody since they don’t allow us to get mobs together and hang them from lampposts.

I'm giving some genuine thought as to whether I should start a crowdfund to buy these two people something nice. I don't know what you get a prisoner or what you're allowed to get a prisoner. But if we could get delivered a big slap-up meal for them and their mates, that'd be fine with me.
