Reading the comments it appears the doxing were people posting his son's name that Linus himself accidentally leaked. So let me get this straight: showing your children on camera to your paedophile fanbase is totally acceptable, but it's unacceptable for them to know the name of your son?

Classic Linus behavior. Says he's only aiming for something reasonable, but in reality he a dirty fucking liar and just does everything in his own interest.
Take the modmats situation as an example. Linus basically said: "Guys, here’s why Steve from GN is terrible. And by the way, we said our modmats would launch this week, but since Steve also sells them, we’re delaying ours for a few weeks to show we’re only here for the truth and not to compete."

The fact that they still haven’t released them shows that the Steve drama was just an excuse. In reality, they’re clearly having issues with the product.

Nah, Luke is paid considerably well. I think his compensation is probably tied in part to Floatplane. They probably have kept it quiet to not disgruntle the other OG employees (what's left of them now) but the memes how low Luke was paid were just annoying Linus. I think that Luke could earn even more as mid-level manager in a tech MNC through stock options etc., but he likes larpin' as a CTO to give him status and is paid enough to have a smug grin on his face when the topic of his compensation is brought up. And working for LTT is probably fun when you're the cult-leader's favorite lackey and go-to guy.

That said, it is smart by Linus to fairly compensate Luke, because the channel will die if Luke leaves. The core audience watches the WAN show and Luke's disappearance can't be swept under the carpet like all the other disappearances, lately. The core will whittle away and they'll be truly at the mercy of the algorithm then. From what I've seen of Luke, he is a good guy and doesn't like inter-personal conflict; whenever Linus mentions reconciliation with GamersNexus, Luke always nods his head approvingly and looks relieved.

We now know why Luke was so smug when his compensation was a subject of conversation a couple of months back. Linus/Yvonne and Luke now own the WAN show 50/50 under a new company/partnership and it will eventually be on its own separate channel. Linus was obviously spooked by OG employees leaving to be their own masters and couldn't bear seeing Luke go too.

So basically Linus has avoided actually paying Luke anything meaningful, again, and has once again swindled him with an equity/authority stake in a nothingburger. Now he can try his hand at making a podcast into a successful business while dealing with the inane demands of Linus, instead of trying his hands at making a streaming platform a success while dealing with the inane demands of Linus. Truly, getting ahead in the world.

One of the mods looks to be a power mod tranny and the other is a retard that made more than half the mods LTT employees.
Don't know how you can claim its community run when most the moderators are from the company. I also wonder if having a majority means they can do some kind of majority rules take over.
That said, I hope it does happen and he overreacts and overreaches with his new found powers. Luke knows the reason why and its why he pushed back so quick.
It will drive people away from his content. People that earn them money and spend money with them because of petty nonsense.
The message he showed as banable was the lightest fucking jab too and actually true and funny
Behaving that way also lets people know how to annoy him better, All you have to do is refer to him as blank's (whatever the kids name is, don't know it) dad repeatedly and he is going to go crazy.

He is in seethe mode because he knows multiple LMG employees post here and in the reddit sub mocking their stupid tech illiterate boss. For months he has been trying to track down each one and push them out of the company.

He blames these employes for Steve blasting him when it was just Linus sperging and treating people like shit because they were not pushing talking points. He still thinks Steve is to blame for the downward spiral when the youtube model has been shifting while tariffs and failed investments have been very damaging. His ego is too fragile to admit that he and his behavior is the problem. When you get emails or messages from him it's like reading something from a deranged ex gf.

Just for context, neither Linus nor (I assume) any other LTT employee has the ability to ban anyone, which kinda makes Linus' turbojanny powertrip even more funny.

Problem is the jannies aren't agreeing with each other. Lemlurker wanted him removed. Frosticc wanted him to stay, and it seems like the third janny also voted for him to stay.

And the cherry on top? This is all pointless, because they were completely fine with Linus having access to Colton/LMG accounts (which, again, had full access). Linus just apparently refused and wanted the ability to ban shit on his own custom account.
