🌟 Internet Famous Linus Gabriel Sebastian & Linus Media Group / Linus Tech Tips - Narcissistic corporate shill YouTuber driving his media empire into the ground. KILL COUNT: 2

So mister adblock is piracy sees no issues with his kid taking other peoples work to resell. I'm sure he's obeying the creative commons. He apparently talked about it on the wan show and said he didn't care because "its just a teenager making money".
Gee, I wonder if Linus would be saying it's no big deal if a random teenager was selling knock off LTT merch?

Having your kid make chynesium level crap and also making a video about it, even including another manlet who could be just a high level pooner, I fucking hate Canada so much:
Selling 3d printed dogshit isn't a 'business'. You are lower than a dropshipper. Every single market in the country, every fucking souvenir shop, fucking everything, they all have this shit. Back in my day the business would be stealing your parents fags or alcohol and selling that in school. At least that's adding value because the kids buying it didn't have a choice unlike 3d printed fidget toys that you can easily find anywhere.

if his voicemogging kid is going to be back on video on the regular, get him trained on his camera presence, can barely stand without looking like a videogame npc and get him to talk normally and not end in single words like a total inbred autist

on top of that, there's nothing wrong with selling someone's cc0 or cc by sa bbc model, you're just paying for mats, equipment and small amounts of labor at that point - however you will be beaten by libraries and other printing services
even then, if you're complaining that you're getting cucked, you wouldn't share your design unless you're retarded about commercial is bad because i hate greedy companies raping me for free

I know double posting is a sin - but as I cannot update my post i'll commit the sin.

Hot off the success of his USB cables, linus is now going to branch out into HDMI/DP cables.

And of course the simps are all over it:

I'm not a businessman but it doesn't seem like a good idea for someone who's main income is a failing youtube channel to be branching out into these spaces.
I think there is a market for good cables, but not at what they are going to charge for them.
With 4k and higher refresh rates I have run into issues with cables, especially some with longer runs.
I just kind of shop around on amazon though and just return ones that don't work so I know brands that work.
All he is doing is becoming a repeat of a brand like Monster

In my experience anything over 60' or so for 4k/120hz has to be with fiber versions of HDMI or DP cables.

Ltt called out for promoting scams on short circuit.

Looks like it wasn't the first time and there's probably more than this:

LTT really trying to burn all their credibility (not as if they had any) for a little money.

It's always the same excuse for every problem they ever have.

"This was just an accidental, temporary issue that snuck through our normal, high administration guidelines"

Even if your 'normal' processes that totally would have caught the scam 100% percent of the time. You're employing people retarded enough to read 'my water bottle splits water molecules' and just roll with it? I know canada is full of jeets but fucking hell.

Hey now, selling 3d printed plastic crap is a viable career path for an asian child.

And Monster cables really weren't that bad or a bad brand by any stretch.

The problem is that:
  • The invention of HDMI and USB means 90% of cables work for 90% of people 99.9% of the time
  • The only people who are in the market to spend serious money on cables are either:
    • People that need them because its a work/industrial/personal application where the cables will be physically moved a lot or in a high stake installation
    • People that need them because they need a specific specification for 4k/9000fps or some shit and need to be able to trust them
    • People that fall for scams
Most people are not going to need high spec cables, so the only way to get a huge market for them is to either have an addressable niche market (which arguably LTT has and can access really easily because they have computer enthusiast viewers who are fags and niggers) OR to just scam people and tell them the super quad HD power cable that is made of pure chinesium copper coated in ancient bat oil will get them 72 virgins in the afterlife.

@gouffan @Drael @Dr.0 It's been a while since I've needed a high quality cable, but do y'all have any brand recommendations for fellow kiwis?
Have you tried mud?

I don't know about suggesting a brand as a whole but I've been using this HDMI cable and this USB extender for a little over two years each without issue and this DP cable for a little longer than that. Sometimes different lengths than what is specifically linked, but the same "brand" each time. They're all of the fiber variety, though with the USB you can use normal USB3.0 extenders that have the repeaters built into the length of the cable. So long as the USB hub nesting isn't a problem for whatever you're doing.

The fiber cables in general have been a godsend for my goal of moving all the computers into a well air conditioned large closet while having the screens/mouse/kb/audio elsewhere in the house.

I mean I don't need anything nearly that long, would the Amazon suggested alternative work fine? They have 10 feet for $20 which is much more affordable for me.
