Culture Lilly Wachowski To Adapt The Trans Horror Novel Manhunt - The Wachowski brother that admitted porn made him "trans" is now making a TV show out of Manhunt, the book written by another man pretending to be a woman that features sexual violence, cross-dressing men murdering TERFs, and J.K. Rowling dying horribly.

Lilly Wachowski, co-director of The Matrix and trans filmmaker, is set to adapt Manhunt, a 2022 dystopian horror novel by Gretchen Felker-Martin.

The adaptation promises to bring Felker-Martin’s brutal and gripping narrative to life on screen, a story that centres around trans women surviving in a post-apocalyptic world where testosterone transforms people into feral, zombie-like creatures.

Felker-Martin, thrilled by the news, shared her excitement on X, writing, “The cat’s out of the bag, baby,” and expressing that she “couldn’t be prouder or more excited to be writing it.”

Fans of trans horror are eager to see this ground-breaking story brought to the screen, especially given the novel’s unique take on a post-apocalyptic narrative, which diverges from the usual cisgender lens.

In Manhunt, trans women Beth and Fran are on the run, not only from these feral men but also from a group of murderous TERFs.

The narrative goes beyond mere survival, as the women struggle to continue their transitions amidst the chaos, a literal fight for life in the new world gone mad.

Manhunt is not for the faint of heart, and readers can expect the TV adaptation to be just as intense and horrifying.

More projects in the works for Wachowski

Wachowski, who has always been open about her commitment to telling queer and trans stories, expressed her passion for the project in an interview with Autostraddle. “We’re going to do our damnedest to bring this thing kicking, screaming, and queer as hell onto the screen,” she said.

This adaptation isn’t the only queer project on Wachowski’s radar.

During her Autostraddle interview, she revealed that she is also adapting Jordy Rosenberg’s historical, genre-bending novel Confessions of the Fox.

Additionally, Wachowski shared that she had just completed a script with her partner, a response to the rising wave of anti-trans sentiment worldwide.

The script, titled The Hunted, explores a resistance movement led by trans people in a murder mystery that infiltrates the highest levels of government. “What if trans people could form this almost weather underground level of resistance?” Wachowski teased.

No further details have been released about the adaptation of Manhunt and when it is set to be released.

I fully support more people being exposed to the innermost thoughts and fantasies of troons.

It is only through understanding that we can reach Exterminatus.

One of the cruel realities of trooning out is the person you were is dead and gone. Whatever spark you had to create excellent works has been replaced by a desire to indulge in your perversions and an overwhelming need to spread that onto children.

So its no surprise the Wachowskis have lost the divine spark that let them create the Matrix trilogy.

If this ever sees the light of day, it will be awesome, in the way the aftermath of nuclear war would be awesome.

The Masters of Horror episode "The Screwfly Solution" pretty much already did it. That was 18 years ago lol.
ITYM "1977 short story," but that just makes your point better.

The testicle-eating part is going to be a stumbling block. I mean, the whole book is gratuitous and derivative, but saying that eating testicles lowers your testosterone is a real "bats aren't bugs" moment.

Ha, i had no idea it was based on a book. I just looked up the author.. seems she was a feminist. Anyways, Masters of Horror was great.

Despite being pornsick weirdos, the Wachowskis are very creative people who have directed mostly solid stuff IMO... but there's no way I'm watching this piece of shit unless it's on a movie night with the Kiwi Krew.
This,
I'm sad this is being directed by Lily, I assumed he was the real talent, as Larry "Lana" W. solo efforts sucked.
I loved the first series of Sense8 but couldn't get into the second, due to Larry's hypocritical wokeness and lack of skill, he fired a talented Jamaican co-lead actor because he wouldn't participate in the gay orgy scene.
There's a possibility that trans lolcow PhilosophyTube (aka Abigail Thorn) might be the lead "actress" in this.
(It's not confirmed though. Just speculated.)
They'll probably cast Jamie Clayton, the TiM actor and makeup artist who costarred as Larry's badly acted trans Marty Sue in Sense8.

Why can't trannies think about anything other than tranny shit. Terrible idea for a book and/or movie but maybe it will be unintentionally funny due to all the inherent autism.

I was trying to remember which one it was, the one who trooned out first and was basically a degenerate coomer who fell into the Los Angeles sex club circles, or the one that jumped years later, the autogynephilic one that embodies the worst of the troon stereotypes and looks like Shrek.

Unsurprisingly it was the latter.

It's a shame how the Wachowski brothers fell off the map after The Matrix. I wonder what they're up to these days.
Speed racer is unironically a fantastic movie, it has some of the best music, cinematography and CGI I've ever seen all tied toogether with a very strong emotional core.

The special effects are genuinely top of the line better than nearly every movie to have come out the last decade and has absolutely gorgeous visuals even by today's standard:

Ontop of that, Speed Racer objectively has the best driving sequences out of any other movie or videogame period. For fucks sake, this movie has cars performing ACROBATICS.
There are gorgeous use of visuals all over that honestly surpass 99.9% of marvel + DC + general purpose action slock even today.

Speed racer is one of those movies that got a TON of shit when it first came out both from critics and audiences even winning raspberry awards, but this is one of the rare cases where its because it genuinely was way ahead of its time.

It pushed CGI to the absolute limit and it absolutely pays off, with choreography that beats nearly everything that came before or after it, while still looking beautiful despite being nearly 20 years old. The only movie that comes even remotely close is Redline that came out a year later.

And the despite having such good CGI they didn't ignore the story either. It knows what it wants to be and executes that perfectly, its about a guy and his family who love a sport and practice it out of pure appreciation for said sport against all odds (sometimes a little too stubbornly, but that's the point and the movie explains why they are so stubborn), with the general message being "soul vs commertialization and selling out".

Usually I think people who cry about selling out are whinny bitches but again, this movie actually justifies WHY the family is so stubborn which is why it works so well.

It has serious moments, sad moments, genuinely heartfelt moments, and yet is expertly paced, keeps the tone consistent (no fucking bathos like 90% of marvel scenes have) and accomplishes making you cheer for the protagonist better than most movies do today.

It really is a pitty that speed racer was imprinted in the public concious as "That silly anime movie with too much cgi" when its an unironic masterpiece of both storytelling, choreography and animation.
