Nope. I think the reaction menu is excellent on mobile. On my desktop, it is being agravating. I have a large flatscreen across the room as my monitor. I measured, and I have to trannsverse 28" in a height of about 1.25". You cant' just move the mouse naturally, turning your wrist, because the mouse path has an arc. CSS hover thresholds are a few pixels at best, so rating involves me using natural internet mouse movements several times, having the popup disappear, and then having to lift my wrist and move the mouse with a flat trajectory to avoid a hover out event.

It's WAY better ona mobile, IMO, I like it better than yesterday's system., but I haven't had to pay attention to the accuracy of my mouse path like that on a webpage in a long time. PAdding or margins, IIRC need to be expanded in the vertical space.

I might be a special use case, so disregard me, I suck cock, but that's the only usability issue I've seen. I prefer the popup over the ugly look of the ratings options sitting beneath every post. I think it's way slicker.

On the whole it's an excellent improvement, and the only other real issues I have are how the post ratings appear. Does anybody here actually care who upvotes or downvotes them? I certainly don't. I generally rate and if I actually really liked it, then I check out who posted it. Plenty of times, I've been happily rating someone Agree/Thunkful/Informative, as they have been happily rating me dumb or Islamic content. Who cares who rates, generally, I think rating the content is the thing... Occasionally I look up the moderation of some post to see who and why it got modded that way, but I couldn't give less of a shit on a post to post basis who is rating what. I barely care about the ratings. I suspect most of us are like that. It seems like that could lead to a rise in retaliatory modding when the rater's name is immediately visible.

They only other thing would be that I would prefer Horrific/Deviant etc to remain closed unless someone shells out money. I think it's a better way to get a bit more money for Null, and there is also likely going to be a rash of those ratings, as us peons get access. We are going to be like plantation niggers getting access to the house, eating the chinaware, shitting on the table, and just cutting loose for I while, I suspect. Someone might even rape the fridge. We are animals, after all.

I must admit, when /. went to to their 2.0, for farmers who were slashdottirs, people were fucking deranged. Nice to see this shit is generally just sperging and low grade whining, myself included.

Also, I'm literally shaking.

Edit: Apologies, @Null , thanks for your crazy hard work, we all appreciate it! I missed the reaction menu comment of yours. I can imagine you are sick of hearing about it already.

Everything is so beautiful and slick. Its fast too. Pretty telling the only issues have been cosmetic in nature (themes not imported over yet, that type of thing).

I guess it's just been a long day and I should apologize to @repentance because he's apparently right about the content being cut too short (although I don't see it in the post I was replying to). This thread is still a mess but I shouldn't have overreacted, my bad.
 
I've got to say, despite my sarcastic Armageddon schtick from yesterday, I'm actually liking what Null did to this place, Great job. I can't till the update is complete.

I almost had to make BillyGoat3 due to the force logout i got hit with. Thankfully my issue was just missing the Capital G in my username.

its interesting so far. Mobile is slightly annoying with a lack of a boarder on the left side in landscape mode. makes me want to try zooming out but i just keep switching to my tab scroll (older model iphone, default safari)

I don't know what you're asking. Embedding images has always been as simple as ctrl+c ctrl+v. People who hotlink shit to this site are unbelievably fucking lazy and now that we have video embedding there's no excuse.

I need to make default image embedding thumbnail and video embedding block-level though.
