Least favorite music genre? - That genre that you just don't like!

Crunkcore has been mentioned already, and I think it's objectively the worst. Basically takes two genres that are inherently terrible and combines them to make something even worse. Fortunately it was tied to the late 2000s and is now totally dead.
Country can be good, even though it's not my type of music. When people say that all country sucks though, they're usually referring to the modern "bro-country," and yeah I would agree that it is universally terrible.
I'm mixed about Dubstep. I do respect the sound design and production effort that goes into some of it, and it has a lot of nostalgic value for me. I also credit it with getting me into other types of electronic music that I still listen to. But I do acknowledge that it's a pretty tasteless and stupid genre that is difficult to listen to.
 
Urbano music is what happens when you mix reggaeton, trap, mumble rap, nigger shit and modern pop. Every latino artist, old and young, is doing it, and it's always the worst thing your ears will ever hear. And unfortunately, IT'S EVERYWHERE YOU GO.
 
Fuck, there is a lot to write about here. I actually like this question a lot more than the common "What is your favourite music genre" because most people will listen to a little bit of everything. That being said, there are some genres that I just cannot stand, and I am explicitly not going into autistic multi-layered subgenres with like 4 bands total. Keeping it understandable and hopefully relatable.



2. Soft pop
e.g. Sean Mendes, Ed Sheeran
I can sum up this specific subgenre of pop that seems to be fucking everywhere on radio in one single word - Boring. Slow and
droning tunes combined with either 'gruff' male voices to get 40+ womens' neglected sexes twisted or slightly effeminate guys'
vocals to give the impression that the song is about his 'totally deep feelings :('

1. Nightcore/Weeb music
e.g. idk look up a nightcore song on youtube
Probably (most definitely) stems from my hatred of internet otaku and anime culture. I sincerely do not understand how that shit
got to that level of popularity rather than staying an obscure subsect of otaku communities. Speed up a song to an irritating level,
slap a picture of some blue haired anime girl with headphones and call it a day.

3. Female Ghetto rap
e.g. Lizzo, Doja Cat
I struggle to think of a worse fate than being friends , or worse, in a relationship with someone that enjoys female rappers. It's like
watching those videos where skinny black chicks try to get involved with street violence, only in the music industry, instead of getting
knocked out in a single swing, they get picked up by SilversteinStudio(tm) and get played non stop at music festivals.



I could probably add a few more if I really thought about it, but these three I can say, with confidence, are my least favourite music genres. And apart from those, I can listen to most types of music and take out at least a little enjoyment out of it, or at least see some merit in the genre.
 
  • Old-skool dubstep
This may be a very unpopular opinion, but I enjoy the modern dubstep/brostep variety more than old-school dubstep. Something about the repetitive basslines and antiquated sound just rubs me the wrong way.
  • Drift-phonk
I used to like it, but the genre became oversaturated and overplayed. It's just tiresome to hear it all the time.
  • Reggaeton
It's just degrading just to be forced to listen to this trash.
  • Lofi hiphop
Soulless trash that you find being played at a workplace to increase wagecuck productivity.
  • Trannycore/trooncore/modern pseudobreakcore.
I'm a pretty big fan of breakcore, I even produce some myself; however the more modern variety that was influenced by trannies like Sewerslut is just weeb trash. Those mixes that are found on YouTube with glitched anime thumbnails with retarded titles like "breakcore to dissociate to" are fucking insufferable.
  • modern pop music
overengineered music made for the most common denominator
 
this may just be me, but I hate pop metal/idol shit. it's synthetic and complete bland. K-pop/J-idol are just made by corporations with a cookie cutter mentality. pop metal is the same shit, and the best example of this is BabyMetal. it's fuckin' garbage. it's generic pop metal with (former) little girls doing the vocals. I remember one of my family members got into them since she was really into idol shit when she was like an early teen, and all their songs sound the same. they were just created to sell merch to pedo old men.

I use to/ still really like breakbeat, but recent trannies getting into it is annoying. they don't know how to create it/ what drives the fans to it. sewerslut is a worthless tranny who constantly cries about shit, but he's the one that people flock to since he's a troon.

first time ive ever heard someone outright hating the original dubstep sound as being apart of that era fairly well made me hear all the britbongs shitting on anything remotely brostep because it didn't sound like Coki, Skream, Distance, etc.

both appealed to me in different ways. I went to the 2010-2012 dubstep for the creative sound design and the old 2000s dubstep for kinda the same thing but it was more "rhythmically pleasing" for lack of a better way to describe it. outside of also being just atmospherically detailed.

also worst genre is hyperpop. if you don't know it. good. don't bother and stay pure. otherwise you might start wearing dresses if you're a dude and doing tons of xanax if you're a female.
