For what it's worth, I had an ASUS laptop for about two and a half years that just died out of the blue. Never got it to come back on, but at least I could take the drives out and recover them on my desktop. Sorry man, that brand sucks.
I had Asus recommended to me by a friend. I had a an HP envy laptop for 3 years before the hinge collapsed and took the entire screen with it.

I didn’t. Im not sure why I would need a new cable
not the laptop cable, the little cable your battery attaches to inside the laptop

anyway, first of all you need to test if the laptop works without the battery. Take the battery off, plug the laptop in and turn it on. Do it. It's important.

You should flash kde and format windows and drive.
That's what I did except I started with xfce and had it installed across 4 flash drives for a while becauae I thought my hard drive was fucked until I realized my problem wasn't my hard drive at all. Windows had just randomly decided to corrupt the master boot record one day. So I formatted my harddrive, installed kde and never looked back.

Yes it’s almost always been plugged in and battery was full
Alright fair enough Your posts made it sound like you just hadn't plugged it in. Like at all.

This behaviour sounds like a loose component inside the laptop. My last laptop had an issue that would make the screen randomly go fuzzy and blurry until I tapped it. I had to open the case and reseat the daughter board that carried all the connections to the screen, after which it worked perfectly.

Alternatives are failing RAM, or something shorting out a component (maybe something conductive got inside and is intermittently making contact between two traces). Or it could be all three of these things and your laptop is just fucking haunted.

Oh one other thing.

I noticed afterwards that gifs of peoples avatars would not play properly. They would play for a 1/4 of a second before looping back.

Hammer F10 or whatever to get into BIOS and run the system/component tests. The long ones. Maybe they can find something.
