Given that many protests that start off peacefully quickly degenerate to violence, it's one thing to tell people to stay home in the context of avoiding harm. But the idea that people should stay home in the sense of doing nothing as everything they stand for and worked for gets destroyed is ridiculous, especially since most people have their point where they won't idly stand by and let people buffalo them into a situation that's totally untenable.
I believe the judge has been very deliberate with this trial. He seems to know it's high-profile enough that it could easily have turned into a three-ring circus and a media shit show
from the start had he not been firm about courtroom decorum and his belief in the legal process when it's done right.

I like cold weather, below 32F is fine with me, 'course I have three different parkas, an extreme cold weather parka, 4 pairs insulated and waterproof pants and three pairs of winter/snow boots (to match my various gloves/hats/scarfs/balaclavas so I'm ready to throw down in the snow. Wisconsin tends to get a bit below that. Full weeks of below 0 being the high temperature. They really should have just had the trial in January or February, absolutely nobody at all would even think of rioting in that weather.
