"Meh" was what I told my brothers getting out of the theater, and it's still true even after it sank in. Only thing I liked from the cast were John Goodman, Samuel L. Jackson and John C. Reilly's performances, I didn't really care much for anyone else, whoever they were.

I can at least say that they treated Kong better than they treated Godzilla in that we got to see him be the fucking king. They sure as hell went all-out with the creature gore.

 

[The Sourdough Region]

I thought it was a pretty good movie. John Goodman and Sam L were pretty good, but John C Reilly's performance was easily my favorite. He was the perfect combination of goofy and slightly crazy.

 

[Zhoban]

The film gives a rather vibrant rendition of Skull Island, where it is more like Pandora than an insufferable hell, which I'm not opposed to. They did a good job of explaining how Kong will be able to challenge Godzilla in a few years, as he's still maturing. My gripe, however, is that the pacing is a little bombastic. Otherwise, it was a pretty decent film!
