Kotaku PS5 "Review"

Imagine being 12 years old and into gaming and being exposed to this garbage.

I remember when gaming mags were full of risqué full page ads and the reviewers were actual computer dorks who knew stuff.
I am so thankful I don't have to be a kid or teenager in the present day, I got to see gaming and gaming culture back when it was just for fun, it's no wonder kids only seem to play Minecraft and Fortnite and that's it because I couldn't imagine trying to navigate this modern climate at a young age and simply find out what's fucking worth playing and isn't, the most basic fucking question behind gaming journalism that always gets lost in favor of politics.

Isn't there supposed to be an editor that approves what does and doesn't posted? Like I know Kotaku is a garbage website but isn't there supposed to be someone that reads this and sends it back to the writer with a note to shut up and write about the console?

I think it's pretty clear that Kotaku doesn't understand the core audience of gaming when they cite politics as a reason why you shouldn't enjoy games because it distracts from the "real issues"

Most gamers believe politics belongs in the toilet, and that's a hard opinion to argue against.

Especially when it comes to social media pushing shit.

Kotaku drones requires no supervision at all.

Somebody got PAID to write this "review."

Dude got early access to a next generation console, presumably for free, asked to review it, yet half the "review" is him complaining about life.

On top of that, he admits he knows very little about technology.

All you need to do is talk about the features, games, performance, gripes of the system and BOOM. Evidently, they can't do THAT.

Give me one of these systems, I could do a better review. And ENJOY said product.

This reminded me of that Polygon article about a Guitar Hero (or Rockband?) press event where the journalist didn't want to be there. He complained about the concept of playing the guitar on a plastic toy so instead he decided to spend the rest of the event talking about politics in the Philippines with a colleague while drinking champagne and eating canapés.

Love that memory.

This?

I propose a Kotaku thread.

I take it they hate games.
You see we have to turn games into movies because movies are a respected art.

And respected art is the only thing me a Big Brained Intellectual consumes, for I am an important figure in the media who's job is it to tell people their opinions.

Also the DES remake trophies came out, there's two multiplayer ones(summoning someone to fight a boss, and for you to be summoned to fight a boss), everything else is quest related, and there's trophies for collecting all spells, miracles, and rings. So character and world tendency still might play a part if friendship and enemy rings stay the same. There's also boss trophies for defeating them a certain way(i.e. tower knight being killed without you personally killing any archers)

Última edición:
Saw this shit when it was posted, utter insanity. Even saw some RetardEra mongoloids call out how retarded it is, you know you've pole-vaulted over the fucking shark when THAT happens.

That's such a good one. We basically learn more about his grandmother than the game.
I propose a Kotaku thread.
There's a games journalism thread, but it's not been updated in long time, likely because no one reads game journalists any more.

I was wrong about one thing, the Multiplayer trophies for DES are get summoned for a boss and invade a player as a red phantom near a boss. The Japanese guys who are testing said the trophy doesn't seem to go off unless you're close to a boss room. The fate of the stockpile Thomas glitch remains unknown so this may require multiple runs.

However the character creator for the DES remake is top notch, every player can make themselves look pretty now.

You can make a not-ugly character in a Souls game now? Blasphemy.
