I would beg my parents to buy that when we went ro our local pool growing up. I never actually ate one before. I'm sure it's fine. But it makes you wonder, if people liked it so much why get rid of it? Manufacturing costs, low sales, etc.?

To be fair they're basically a reconstructed cone/Drumstick, all of the ingredients in a Choco Taco (waffle cone, hard chocolate shell, fudge, vanilla ice cream, peanuts, and various chemicals) are also in a cone.

You also have some products that will come back when the company deems that it’ll bring in profits, just look at Taco Bell’s strategy with their Taco Fries (and more recently their Mexican Pizza) and whenever McDonald’s bring out the McRib.

If you follow food prices, it's easy to see when the item will come back. The McRib comes back when pork is really cheap, same for Taco Fries and potatoes.

Thanks for the info, I knew that was the case for the McRib but I had no idea that the same thing affected Taco Bell’s Taco Fries. That still leaves the Mexican Pizza in limbo but I have a feeling that’s due to a combination of packaging (I remember that it came in a box similar to Pizza Hut’s), staff training, and ingredient allocation/management.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Choco Taco was “discontinued” for similar reasons, they’re just reallocating the ingredients that would go into it towards their cones and it’ll come back once the supply chain issues are a thing of the past.

I would guess this is the reason. They probably took it away in the first place because no one ordered them and they need a special box for them (ergo a waste of money). The adult children of today only made a fuss because their lives are devoid of purpose and it killed a few seconds out of their day. Oh well, at least the consoomers bought them.

I never liked them. The waffle-cone tortilla was never crisp, like a true waffle-cone. They were always chewy. It ruined the entire thing.

Overall, I am finding waffle cones being harder and harder to come by for the last few years, and I'm not sure why. Several places around me that used to sell them stopped. I love waffle cones. Cake cones are fucking garbage.

The Taco Bell I worked at forever didn’t have Choco tacos, our method of diabetes delivery was sweettea. That’s one word by the way.

Choco Tacos always seemed really chewy now that I think about it. Maybe it was just the Korean market I was getting them from.
