I find it funny how people say they miss him now and shit.
People following this thread got whiplash because how fast people did a 180 on Cobes (myself included).

I can't speak for everyone, but in my own personal experience, I found him a bit frustrating and that made it really fucking funny when he would fall on his face, sometimes literally. It was enjoyable to poke fun of and mock his antics in this thread and I regularly found myself wanting him to see some consequences for his actions - being lazy, managing money poorly, having the worst diet I've ever seen, and having absolutely no respect for what he was given. What made it more frustrating is that papa nips would bail him out every time. All of these things made his failures more amusing, but I don't think anyone here wanted to see him die or actually suffer. Most of us seemed like we wanted some sort of "come to jesus satan" moment for him and a redemption arc.

When he died I think it made a lot of people realize how good we had it - Cobes was a comfort cow and was generally a good person unlike a lot of the other subjects of the threads on here. I've also said it before, while doe-nay-shuns were appreciated, Cobes started his YooToob of the love of the game. He was autistically genuine and while we got less of that near the end, you would still see flashes of this at times. While it came out a bit later, the tribute to life that his family put together showed a behind the scenes look at our autistic goth bad boy and that there was more to him than what we saw on the internet for years.

One of the few internet personalities I used to follow on socials had a great note in each one of his profiles that has stuck with me "The thoughts expressed here are my own and will change as I do". People are allowed to change their views and opinions as they experience the world and more facts become available. Except the people that actively trolled him. Those people can get fucked.

PRAISE COBRA'S MAGIC

I hate to double post but the bitesize stream is live and we're revisiting Cobes content.
Since Bitesize was talking about the pizza loan, I'll do an autistic loop on that topic.

Paying $5 to borrow $15 for two weeks is a loan equivalent to 869% APR.

But Josh was a man ahead of his time. Now there's a whole industry built around taking the money of people who want to finance their pizza.

You can see he corrected the spelling of troll, but what was it original? It looks like he originally wrote "trolll"

Is the canon JFS spelling of troll "trolll" instead of "trole"?
As I recall the "trole" spelling was invented by the fake Kobra in a video title or on reddit, not an original Cobraism. Never seen Josh spell it like that, happy to be corrected.

I think he won't cause ballpark in round about ways pointed out what a dickhead move it was.

It really was. There’s a reason bitesize hid that until Cobes wasn’t with us anymore.
I missed the stream and I haven't watched the bts that Bite released on Cobes's birthday, did I miss something crucial?
I am aware that Bitesized went to Josh's apartment for the second doc and that he kept that fact hidden until after Cobes passed away.

That’s all it was really. Bitesize confirmed it was him in the bts. I get them having friction or whatever but I see it as a cowardly act to travel halfway around the globe to film someone and lie about who you are whilst sitting in their living room. It just doesn’t seem like a good move.

Maybe Bitesize was afraid of backlash from other people around Cobra or afraid that Josh might have caved his head in (I doubt Josh would’ve done that). I have a problem with it because of how spiteful bitesize would come across at times when it was Josh basically providing all that raw material for him to make a living off of whilst sitting at home living in the same way Josh did.

TLDR: if you’re not doing anything wrong you have nothing to hide.

I'm extremely proud to have been one of the people in this thread pointing out Cobra wasn't a monster, didn't murder animals and wasn't a pedophile before he died to people who weren't familiar with his antics and just read the subreddit. I remember even point by point debunking an infamous list a Redditor had made accusing him of everything from being a pedophile to serial animal abuser.

same though i was a little harsh poking fun at him at times

i did always believe he could improve himself and while not be a normal guy per se he could have been a more productive member of society

cobra was a good guy despite all of his faults he cared deeply about his family, friends (sometimes too much with them) and his fans

i do wish i could have met him but now its too late

The first stream he did with ballpark was removed because of copyright. The second one he did is still up.

There’s nothing crucial that you missed but there’s some funny behind the scenes stuff he shared. There was one funny story about how he went to a bar with Josh and he started talking to a local who said that he liked Casper but that there were a lot of weirdos. The guy he was talked to pointed to a Cobra and said “See, like that guy” only for him to get super embarrassed when bitsize told him cobra was with him.

Yeah going back to the huge turn in peoples opinion on Josh it did feel quite hypocritical to see many of the same commenters I saw on clip channels mocking him or calling him a sicko going "I miss him so much! RIP Cobes!" like dude you were literally contributing to his decline. Cobra was very much aware of the horrible shit about him online and it actively drove him to drink and abuse drugs. Remember, he had people almost 24/7 texting his number saying the worst shit you can imagine to him and people wonder why he was angry all the time and wanted to feel numb.
