John Candy played characters with such humanity. The cheerfulness of trying to keep it together when everything around him is spinning out of control and falling apart. Summer Rental and The Great Outdoors. Who's Harry Crumb, the "if we find the guy with this crazy typewriter I think we've got our man" joke about a ransom note? Delirious, Volunteers...I know everyone knows his big movies but even the second tier ones are great. And a few years ago I watched SCTV all the way through and the things they're making jokes about are so dated but everyone in it is so amazing that it doesn't really matter. I can't wait to see this, glad I saw the post!
