I assumed it was Blumpft but the way that sentence is phrased it also sounded as if his dementia brain was talking about the inventor of the stock market or something.
I also graduate this semester, and while I have more money in my account than most my age and a good job, I'm not sure I can afford even an apartment right now. The cheapest that aren't projects are like $470 a month, which would be more because I have a pet. I don't have friends or a S/O to split rent with. This is the southeast. I could make a house payment for less than $470. At least with a house payment you can sell the house, you don't get rent money back. BUT there aren't even any decent small houses on the market for a decent price either.
I blame yanks fleeing shithole cities.

I've seen a few recent listing that have estimated base payments of like $300-ish (I browse frequently) but most of these also happen to be cases of "decent cute house but in a not-safe diverse neighborhood."

Curious as to whether if the mandates pass, how will they define a company over XXX employees? Do you count subsidiaries, franchises, etc.? I'd bet there would be a lot of larger companies (but not multinationals, they're too big) trying to figure out how to split themselves up in order to elude the mandate (or at least I would hope).
