Just saw the movie myself, I was surprised how good it was. Joaquin did an incredible acting performance and the cinematography throughout was also great. I just hope they don't make a sequel and ruin what they already have.

So yeah, it's really a film you won't like if you're the type that spends 24/7 on your Tumblr and believes all the "25 genders blackwashing representation I'm so quirky and mentally ill" crap.

I mean, that's the only reason why I feel these people wouldn't like this movie? Because of politics? Because changing the reasons for disliking this movie are just so random "it rips-off the King of Comedy, it panders to incels, it's too violent, it stars a sympathetic white male, a pedophile worked on it...". Either they're undecisive fucks, Disney is moving the strings behind the scenes, or there's something in the movie they genuinely dislike but they don't say what it is, hence hiding behind bullshit excuses.

I wonder if this movie and the overall positive reception towards it by the mainstream will be what finally kills PC culture. The liberals all crying in favor of banning the film because it'd incite violence all came off as the boy who cried wolf once nothing serious happened, and they have been shown to dislike genuinely good media in favor of bland/bad stuff as long as it parrots their politics. By their actions themselves they've shown to be cowards, have bad taste and be incredibly sheep-like.

Maybe after this they'll go the way of the religious right.

My favorite part of the movie was the first genuine time he laughed. It was after he shot Franklin realizing he killed the man he once looked up to. I could see him thinking about that delusion earlier in the movie where he's held up as a good boy who gets to go onto his favorite TV show. But it's just him laughing at how disjointed reality has become, it's become a true joke in his mind. It's incredibly haunting.

What gets me about it is that its probably the most uncompromising depiction of Violence we have seen in awhile. In every other major film violence is just some over the top action CGI sequence with absolutely no frame of reference for people. There are no fancy explosions in this one. Just some in your face murder scenes that are actually realistic, especially the big one at the end.

Another thing the woke crowd probably dont like. Violence, like punching Nazis, is an abstract concept to them. They have no frame of reference for it. What they think it is is something glamorous, like Black Widow kicking the butt the 5 difference men three times her size before shooting some nameless space monster cleanly in the face with no discernible effect except that her pistol is able to blow it safely off screen.

Sometimes you get the impression that the movie and the depicted society hit too close to home for the media (their puppeteers) and those "critics". The problems in Gotham transcend simple politics and that lack of compassion and indifference drove the protagonist and probably parts of the clown army to do what they did. They fail to realize that the media and those "it's problematic" Twitter fags are like the real world counter parts of the forces that let Gotham spiral towards collapse.
