Watched this guy once. Thought it was cool someone in the industry was shitting on the SBI-type stuff watched another video, found him kind of off-putting and never watched again. I see my kiwi instincts did not steer me wrong.
 
I saw (and posted in the appropriate thread) the video where he dissected the Concord designs, which was pretty good. But subsequent videos really made me feel like he was trying hard to milk it.

Guess he was, and worse.

And as always, Harmful Opinions is God.

Finding out he's Australian makes him defending all the money fuckery Nintendo is doing even more retarded. From what I've heard videogame pricing in Australia is extremely fucked. edit: to quote the opening paragraph of the Wikipedia page for Australia Tax

I knew he was weird even when he made his first few Concord videos. But people wanted to see someone "professional" shitting on Concord so they didn't notice his weirdness and stupid shit said.
 
It is actually bizarre he would melt down (or crash out? Whatever) like this over the response to his Switch 2 video.

In my opinion, the best videos he made were the ones where he called internet drama and culture war wierdos boring and not worth engaging with, and told us about his instruments instead and drank some tea with his silly mugs. Actual based down to earth stuff. But now he makes multiple videos about ... addressing mean comments? Huh? What happened? This is dumb. Imagine the time he could have spent restoring his antique instruments or meeting old friends instead of making multiple response videos that he ends up deleting anyway.

I think there's something about a person who throws themselves on the internet and presents themselves as a professional or expert and starts making videos on hot topics that immediately makes it apparent this person isn't doing it because they're actually professional. They're clearly doing it for the revenue and attempted fame to be gained off of it. He's essentially a low tier video game drama tuber.]

So his ego was definitely in play from the get go, When he got some initial positive feedback it went to his head and caused him to go full retard.

An actual professional wouldn't talk about the issue on youtube every day, they'd be doing a job that fixes it and probably be getting paid well for it so they don't have time to fuck around all day in a green screen studio in a a cheap suit and dress shirt presenting themselves as something they're not. He always felt like a snake oil salesman to me that was just being opportunistic on woes.
 
I knew I recognised this guy. I got recommended the Concord video by the algorithm while that tea was still hot and I turned it off after about 3 or 4 minutes because it was obvious the guy didn't know what the fuck he was talking about, at least not in any meaningful professional capacity.

got him on my feed when concord was the hottest shit to fail. i watched it and subscribed for some reason.
after a few days i started to see how often he uploaded videos and started wondering if his "game studio" is more of a hobby thing.

edit: i now remember him defending dragonage: the veilguard by saying they only have x amount of review coppies to give away while everybody knew that ea only gave them to the biggest boot lickers.

So is that just a comically huge tie, or is he a tiny little hobbit or something? I want to pick him up like a small child and be like "who's all dressed up, YOU ARE!"
 
The people who watched his video need to have a hard look at just how much grift they are willing to put up with.

The guys always been a weirdo but some people are acting like he just crashed out.
