Maybe I've only had the misfortune of hearing Funimation's work, but I feel like all English dubs are done by the same pool of five people who have the same 5-6 character voices, and they all have the collective acting skills of a fifth grade class play.

To be honest, that's the best way to watch foreign films. Dubs aren't consistently FMA/YYH/Cowboy Bebop quality, so watching it in its proper language is always the best path,

Modern dubs these days are:
1. Wooden and bland.
2. See 1, but with rando SJW agenda slapped in.
3. Legit YYH levels (at the very least) of competent but its tied to something bad like Persona 5's anime, Sword Art Online, or other snark bait.

Except for Monica's character, the girl with green hair; I got my sister to watch it and she said her voice was really grating. It really does bring down the quality of the dub, to be honest.

I watched the entirety of AssClass (hurr-hurr!) in Japanese and the few English clips I saw weren't too bad except for, of course, Monica's voice. Even my sister tried watching Maid-sama! dubbed and she couldn't stand her voice as Misaki. Hence why she watched the whole show in Japanese.
