I called the other team faggots in chat the other night, and didn't get kicked. So it's better than most other online games.
If there are troons in TF2, I haven't noticed them. I've seen furries, weebs, and bronies. But no trannies yet.

Isn't Quake 3's netcode spotty as shit these days? But yeah, Q3's solid even if younger me only fought against bots.

Although I find Unreal Tournament to be a better fit for me, Quake 3 is basically perfection in terms of basic design.
There's nothing bad about the game, basically. Maps can be changed.
Except maybe the netcode as above.
I really liked Unreal Tournament Alpha as a true successor for these types of shooters but it was put on the backburner on an extremely low heat due to Fortnite
