I have to work tons of extra hours and night shifts I'm not used to because of the staffing crisis.
Energy drinks/caffeine is the easy answer but I'm trying to break the habit....
Security-type job and being recorded by CCTV, so I can't shitpost too hard or do anything that can't be dropped at a moment's notice. I do have a large desk and wifi.

How the fuck are you still alive, John McAfee?
Kiwifarms! It keeps me awake at my second job.

Also I masturbate in the handicap stall.

And meth.

But staying on the topic. You should reduce the light. This will reduce the pressure on the eyes and it will be easier to work without falling asleep. Do not stay monotonous; stimulate the brain with any activity every 10–15 minutes. Drink water regularly—circulate the fluid in the body. If you have a sedentary job, get up and do a couple of sit-ups and squeeze your hands; make the blood work for yourself.

Buy yourself a 1 legged stool.

If you fall asleep you also fall off your chair (which presumably will wake you up).

Cocaine effects last for 15 - 30 minutes meth however lasts for a range from 8-24 hours, (although the eutrophic effects only last about 30 minutes but that's not really relevant to the conversation).

Now looking at the price of cocaine and meth are around $30 for 0.5g

Now why they're listing cocaine and meth under the heading of Cocaine I don't know... seems kinda suspicious to me, maybe this is one of those deep web drug markets that you can't trust? Might want to check a few more sites...

So that's $52 for half a gram of coke

$28 for half a gram of meth.

So with that it seems the naturally conclusion is that meth is the winner. Cocaine (depending on source) can come out as more expensive and with the shorter effect you'll need top yourself back up every 15 - 30 minutes, while with with meth you'll be able to pull a full shift on one good hit.

When I worked nights I used to keep a bottle of Evian facial spray in the fridge, it’s a really light mist but when cold will wake you up instantly. If you’re a fan of hot drinks but trying to cut down on caffeine then boiling water with lemon, ginger and honey is a good pick-me-up.

Social interaction and joking around with someone. Learned from Navy boot camp where caffeine is obviously not allowed and you get 4-5 hours of sleep per night if you're lucky. Also certain music like Daft Punk or Crystal Castles if you are allowed to listen.

I thought the hard part of the shift would be the wee hours, like 1-5AM. No. The hard part was 6-11AM when everyone was waking up and everything got busy again, but for me I was thinking, "Fuck, I've been here 10 hours and I still have two hours to go."

The other hard part was the freaking blood circulation in my feet. Walking around didn't fix it, sitting down didn't fix it: my feet were swollen up and my actual shoes were too small- the pain was from my shoes. But I couldn't take off my shoes. I wish I were smart enough to think to relace them. That would have helped in retrospect.

It helped a lot in the later hours to think about how fat my paycheck is going to be this month. This is winter holiday money.
Stretches to get your blood flow going help a lot.
I ate many Treetop applesauce packets when I worked a 4:30 am shift.
I love those freaking applesauce pouches.

Get up and stretch every so often.
Do jumping jacks or something like that.
I even keep a bottle of niacin in my work truck for desperate situations.

If your only goal is to stay awake and there's no need to do anything really productive? Porn. Arousal increases blood pressure, heart rate and releases a cocktail of endorphins, just whatever you do, don't coom.

You're probably better off sticking to caffeine, much healthier
Reminds me of a Kenny Vs Spenny episode.
