How do you stay motivated? - Burnout General Thread

Just start doing the thing you need to do right away.

E.g. when I was on my last weight loss season, I slept in my gym clothes to lessen the time I needed to prepare.

I visit the troon forum.
I'm honestly not even pissed at the trans extremists any more because there are too many troons writing entire articles about muffing or being beautiful female fucking ballet dancing in tutus with beers bellies and 5 o clock shadows or getting caught out talking about fingering menstruating kids on ferries.

Crack on troons you make my day so much more amusing. Oh especially Fat Tony. He's a fucking hoot and a half.

Sometimes it's motivating just to know that today might be a bad day or I feel like crap and need to take some time to rest my body but that if I care for myself today I'll almost certainly feel better tomorrow.

Set a goal, no matter how easy, and achieve it for a boost. Don't feel like reading a 900-page book? Read a 5-page short story. Remarkably similar feeling. Don't want to write 20 pages? Write two sentences. At least you did something, and if you did something that's better than nothing at all!

I have a number of feel-good songs that help but it usually comes down to "Wig in a Box" by Hedwig and the Angry Inch or Liquid Chris's version of "So Need a Cute Girl."

Get something I love to eat on the way is what keep me going.
If you are dieting, make a batch of healthy alternatives of your favourite food on weekend and have one every morning.

Just take things one day at a time. Tell yourself, "Just for today I'm going to keep my shit together, no matter what." Don't worry about tomorrow. If an entire day is too much to deal with, take it one hour at a time.

Instead of facing a monolith, you can choose to face a series of small obstacles that can be overcome.

When you get up in the morning, tell yourself "One day closer to better things, and better times."

Have found all these useful.

Self-discipline, listening to upbeat music, and praying the rosary.

I don't.
Seriously though I picked up a weekly workout routine about a month back and honestly I've found that it's done wonders for my motivation.
