I only have to hang in there for roughly two weeks and then things will calm down a lot more but I'm genuinely struggling to wake up in the morning and get out of bed. What tips/tricks/music/videos do you all use to keep pushing forward?

It's not going to help, but I couldn't resist.
Just set some minor goal for these 2 weeks. Like finishing a book or completing a game, but better something with actual physical activity, like walking or moving things, it helps to turn off your head. If you keep yourself occupied, it gets better, trust me.

How you feel today is just a feeling that you have today. It is neither good, nor bad. It is just the feeling of today. There will be other days that feel different down the line.

If you are struggling with exam season or a stressful time at work right now just know that if you stick with it to the end you'll be doing your future self a major favor. Every school credential you get, and every dollar you earn will open more doors for you in the future, and if you let your current opportunities slip by you're going to have to go through your current position all over again, maybe even with a tortuous wait time to go along with it.

Discipline today means freedom tomorrow.

Spite. Life wants to crush me, so I spit in it's eye and give it the finger by getting up and doing shit.

Live to spite life.

Or, to resurrect an old but always applicable meme:

May sound dumb/unhealthy but when I was in the "gotta get up at 6" gang I would visualise my red bull and cigarette that I'd get once I was up and dress. Somehow it worked almost every time.

Hang in there aaaaaaand

edit - this is probably more of a long term thing and may not fit with your lifestyle but now i don't HAVE to get out of bed at a regular time, I still do. When the need evaporated (yassssss) it actually had a negative effect. I got my first dog shortly after and the rest is history. I'm up with the lark. If you can get yourself to a place where you start the day early with some physical activity, even just walking the dog I guarantee your life will be better!

Última edición:
I made myself a playlist of songs that are upbeat and that I can sing along to. When I had an hour long drive at 6am, that helped to distract me from thoughts of impending doom. Espresso shots help too, caffeine's a bit of a mood booster.

Make yourself a goal or a project you want to complete, something that you decide you're going to do after work or studies that you're really passionate in. Could be 100% completing a video game you enjoy or reading a book, hell even something like painting. Set yourself something to do in your free time and stick to it.

Or just remember you're getting a paycheck soon, that always motivates me to go to work (if you have a job).

Maslow's Hierarchy isn't just a meme. If you can't think about doing anything aside from getting past the next day of shit, that's not gonna change until your situation changes. So--change your situation and then you can direct your motivation to higher things.

Knowing that my living situation, which I've accepted and don't feel is too bad about as is, is immensely improved once I'm out of my education and achieve what is considered a mediocre home, which by my current standards is luxury.

Oh and knowing I'll one day own a dog. :)

Put your alarm clock under your bed so you have to get up to turn it off.

For other goals, be SMART: specific, measurable, achievable, rewarding, timely.
And try bribing yourself with small rewards for achieving small goals until you build up to where you want to be.
