What a simple yet wild question.
Damn, with all the insanity, I'm not sure I even remember... I always remember seeing drag men for most of my life, and as a kid it was both comical and creepy (always a joke), but I never really considered it anything beyond that. A new identity, gender, or whatever. It was "Weird guys in dresses"...
When it actually became a thing, I think I just started to see more and more dumb feminists online in the 2010s with insane notions of "IF YOU BEWEIEVE YOU'RE WOMAN, THEN YOU WOMAN" and was like "They really are going THIS far?"
I hate becoming normalized to fucking insanity like this.
