As we all know, the US military is completely willing to airdrop heavy armor for singular soldiers in the middle of a firefight. If this was the case they wouldn't have strategems be so easy to deploy. It would require awaiting authorization and constantly updating the target so that it can be delivered effectively. You would be a SEAF grunt, not spec ops (which is just a grunt that bothered to apply) with carte blanch to command your own ship to do whatever you want. It's well known that Arrowhead is seemingly schizophrenic and the head that wants the hardcore grunt fantasy acquiesces to Sony and the head that wants to balance for the sake of fun (and thus player enjoyment) when the players shout loudly enough, only to try something else a month later. People thought the PSN debacle was the biggest hurdle of the game but at this point that's small potatoes. PSN was essentially bureaucratic-type corporate fuckery, this is just developers refusing to fully accept what the players want. And I get that, because when your vision gets tarnished and casualized in chasing popularity it feels hollow, like how DBD went from a sort of grungy actual asymm horror game to basically a party game where the survivors actively taunt and bully the killer (ignore that bhvr today are massive faggots).
The problem is that Helldivers wasn't even its intended vision from Go, and that's why it was so popular. If it was the actual hardcore game they wanted it would've had a nice crop of players who enjoy that and be it, around the numbers it has now. Instead we went from insanely good numbers to what we have now as a matter of poor decisions.
I exclusively use it because its the biggest single bomb Eagle One will drop for me, and literally no other reason. I don't even think its that good. The 500kg has been long overdue for a buff with how inconsistent it is these days, I find myself using the strafing run and the rocket pods more with its recent buff.
Also, I read the news post on Steam regarding the new FRV coming to everyone in October, and I will say, the glazedivers are the most insufferable retards I have ever read.
"Oh, boo hoo, you have to wait like 4 months for the new equipment, all you had to do was sign on and play, why are you bitching about FOMO?"
Hey, faggots, I got shit to do. I don't want to have to play this game on a set schedule. I don't think I should have un-unlockable content just because I didn't want to play the game every time Arrowhead wanted me to. If I wanted to get bossed around and treated like a retard, I'd just go to work.
Also, I do think its funny how people are celebrating the super credit hacks getting patched.
1. If you were "earning" them in game, you contributed just as much financially whether you hacked them or not.
2. You already paid for the game you stupid fuck, stop lauding devs for locking content behind micro-transactions, just because theoretically you can grind out the $250 worth of SC (or whatever amount it's up to now).
