Well suck my third nipple, my generation is going to be fucked up past the point of no return.
Apparently this is a "remake" of an 80's movie by the same name.

The original heathers movie had such great music, I hope this remake doesn’t crucify it.
Edit: actually just watched the trailer. They fucking ruined everything. Not just music.
:autism:Why replace the character traits of two of the main characters with Fatty and Flamboyant Faggot? That ruins the whole “3 popular untouchable perfect girls” like fuck, just write something different instead of perverting a great musical with political agendas REEE.:autism:

Última edición:
Yeah, it looks like the fat cow is the antagonist there, and the "the preferred term is body positive" line seemed like it was poking fun at the waddlement. I don't see a problem.

I wanted to be angry, but this might actually be a risky move on them. The antagonists are an FA landwhale, a genderqueer, and an asian (...?) Can't wait for all the cries of "problematic!!"
We might even get a small salt mine thread:story:

Still looks like shit though. Fat Heather's actress seems like she's trying a bit too hard to sound like the popular, bitchy, thin, blonde stereotype her character originally was.

You're forgetting that the antagonist's will be killed by a FUCKING WHITE MALE

Interesting to note is that both the movie and the musical (that I suspect contributed more to this being a thing), focus more around rejecting popular social trends and ways of thinking, with both leads spending much of the story wallowing in bitter resentment of the culture they live in, to the point that it leads to violence. It's an unapologetic dark comedy, and deals more with alienation, bad childhoods, and nihilism than it does any kind of positive social message.

I'm interested to see where this goes, because I doubt it's going to embrace the whole social justice aspect as much as people seem to think.

Hot Topic will be littered with shirts with this stupid shit on it. Maybe this merchandise will be the final straw that starts the fire that is the claustrophobic nightmare of Hot Topic.

I like the idea of a fat bossy villain, haven't seen such an imposing one since Ursula, who was genuinely great. Villain fatsos or villain drag queens have become a no-no lately and it sucks. This looks like it's goin the opposite direction people wanted and expected, which is great

I love my gay dead son

Go watch the original. It's fucking brilliant
I love the original movie so much; it's such a great black comedy and didn't need to be redone or altered at all. But hollywood has this jonesing to remake everything it seems, and if the producers didn't opt to do some weird gender swapping-fat activist agenda pushing-racial diversifying stuff with the cast then they'd get reeeed at by the internet, so I at least get the why of the whole thing.
