This feels like the type of movie SJWs were paranoid Joker would cater to, but to the extremist Kangz crowd instead of incels/white nationalists/whatever.

I ain't watching this shit, did Dr. Manhattan come in and kill everyone at least? Also, Rorschach's fanclub is actually white nationalist. God fucking damn.
He was definitely right-wing, but Alan Moore had the good sense to write him well. Pretty much to the point that you could argue (and Moore himself might have been leaning towards) he was ultimately right in the end to give the evidence exposing Veidt to that newspaper.Granted it's been years since I've read the original comic but I don't remember Rorschach being racist, an edgy social darwinist maybe but not racist.
Why would a Neo Nazi cult worship Rorschach?
Didn't he send his diary to a white nationalist tabloid?Granted it's been years since I've read the original comic but I don't remember Rorschach being racist, an edgy social darwinist maybe but not racist.

As far as I can tell, the white nationalists don't have any goal relating to exposing the truth regarding Veidt and his plan, they just want to kill black people. That makes no sense, Veidt is the most Aryan motherfucker alive, you think that they'd be more like right wing militias and cults if they wanted to make it political.Didn't he send his diary to a white nationalist tabloid?
Would make sense that no one outside their core readership believed them when they published it.

It was shown having some Ben Garrison type cartoons that were a little questionable. As I recall, it wasn't even in InfoWars territory and was more of a NY Post deal. The New Frontiersman was a paper that was deemed "Right Wing" and "full of conspiracy theories." Think of InfoWars. The comic book never called it racist or white supremacist (at least I'm fairly certain?).
They're also the framing for the in-universe articles about psychics and creatives disappearing... which turn out to be completely correct. Oops.It was shown having some Ben Garrison type cartoons that were a little questionable. As I recall, it wasn't even in InfoWars territory and was more of a NY Post deal.
I mean their was that one article where they were praising the Klan. (I think it was at the end of issue 8 or 9)It was shown having some Ben Garrison type cartoons that were a little questionable. As I recall, it wasn't even in InfoWars territory and was more of a NY Post deal.
Its not like Rorsach had any other options. It's established that Veidt controls a good chunk of the media and the majority of the outlets that had no connection to Veidt would likely not print the story since it came from someone whose seen as a crackpot.Didn't he send his diary to a white nationalist tabloid?
Would make sense that no one outside their core readership believed them when they published it.
Anyone who unironically states that Rorsarch is an incel is a fucking moron. As stated earlier in this thread, Rorsarch is disgusted by sexual stimuli as a result of childhood trauma (much like Psycho Mantis) as such he's not interested in sexual relations thus making him VOLUNTARILY celibateHe's a Nazi Incel!!!!!!

The squids are a leftover from Veidt's genetic monster thing that wiped out half of New York. It seems the nature of the disaster got covered up and Rorschach's revelations through the "New Frontiersman" have been dismissed as conspiracy theory by the public. He appears in a tv where there is a newsflash about him playing with sand in Mars
Saw it today, here for some reason people liked it because they dont know about all the american story about for example no one here know or care about the Tulsa thing ,i did not get the thing about the squids tho, maybe i need to polish my comic fu
But it doesnt thouSo the folks over at the watchmen subreddit seem to have an issue with how we feel about the show.

I might disagree on certain things with Moore and at times i have expressed (despite not doing as well as i could) that his opinion can be be often taken as the final words on certain things related to comic but i read that first quote and i think i see things his way, there really should have been no adaptation of his work (the gameplay in the game was fun but it overall felt like the franchise was tacked on yet it was one of the completletly awful noN-Moore part of his work unlike the Prequel comics, the film or Doomsday Clock)Director of new Watchmen adaptation: We decided that the modern equivalent to fear of a thermonuclear holocaust is policing and Black Lives Matter
And people wonder why Alan Moore refuses to let any adaptations use his name.
