I know I'm a few years late to say but a minute into mammons musical episode.l and I remember why I like mammon.

And at the risk of sounding like a broken record, I love how characters like him, stella, Adam, and lute are supposed to be the ones we hate, while rooting for the gay owl, gay demon of lust itself but still draws the line at rape, and Charlie herself, but they end up being the ones even people who hate watch the show end up being something they like about it.

Mammon: if you're a chick, give up on your dreams now...women ain't funny.

Some people: "Why do you hate Stolas more than you hate Stella? She's obviously worse."

Me: "Yeah, I know. She's the villain; she's supposed to do bad things. Stolas, on the otherhand is supposed to be the better person, but he does so many shitty things and the show never addresses that they are shitty actions. He's failing at being the hero."

I don't know why people don't understand that we expect the heroes to be...well heroes. It would be like if Luke Skywalker decided to join the dark side and do everything that Darth Vader did, but the movies were still trying to play him as the good guy.

“Oh come on, it’s Hell!”
That is literally just a hand wave excuse, especially when the show treats everything Blitzo does to hurt others as bad. But when Stolas does it he’s just “making mistakes”.

Totally agree.

Somewhat like "good" heels in wrestling- they have to be believable. People must "love" to hate them.

Stella is imo believable as either the Cluster B wife from hell or the one who was pressured into a loveless marriage with a gay/bi owl by her classy parents.
Adam is an immature, narcissistic frat boy manchild. Lute is experiencing ego-collapse as the only meaning of her existence was stripped away from her. Heaven does not give a fuck and it's probably US of A heaven as mental health seems to be an afterthought there, too. Her rage, despair and suffering is realistic imo.

I find myself actually rooting for these characters to find redemption/healing/a way out. No matter how much Viv will nuke the story in the near future because muh lgbtqwerty2S*+.

Or how most of the racists and war criminals were erased from existence because it would be hard to write them into the story.

Which I still don't get. Sinners can gore each other out, Valentino can be the rapiest rapist he can be, Vox can easily be allowed to destroy big swaths of Pentagram City with his big nasty shark minion and evil ray 9000 (killing hundreds of sinners the process btw) and cannibals can freely eat who they please but Viv's hell apparently draws the line for racists and war criminals?

The thing she knows she'll suck a rat's behind at talking about would be something she had to find an easy-peasy way to combat without adding any other explanation. Alastor and Vox, the serial killers that got away with it all prior to their deaths? They get to stay! Guy who yelled the N word in a COD lobby a few times? Instant extermination before he even hits the ground! Love them double standards, Vivzie.

All that build up, and she gets bitchmade by Abel and sent back to the kitchen.

Well you see, Vox and Alastor are by Viv's own admission designed to be Tumblr Sexymen, so they get an automatic pass, because Viv hasn't mentally grown up since her teenage years.

Saying the n-word is on par with Auschwitz for our retarded native leftists (unless it's a black conservative).Of course Epstein (Val), Bundy (Alastor) and Jim Jones (Vox) get a pass because they are fujo fuel. Interestingly, hell seems rather white to me...where ar
e they? in heaven? picking hellish cotton?

hell seems rather white to me

Oooh, you hit the hardest nail I've seen. I'm surprised it's something not even the equally autistic anti-Viv/critical scene even acknowledges. There's no real diversity in hell. No diversity of cultures, customs, and rulesets. Hell has been around for thousands and thousands of years in her interpretation, so why does everything feel so linear? Why does everyone look like they all died in America and not in varying countries across the world? An Indonesian sinner would absolutely still adhere to their culture and customs even in death.

But everyone looks, acts, behaves and thinks as if they're all westerners. The only explicit characters we know of having a different race is Valentino and Carmilla, and both of them are done pretty stereotypically (Valentino breaking into random spanish and the GOD-awful mexican guitar strum sound effect that plays when Carmilla enters). Where are the Asian sinners? Eurasian sinners? Aboriginal sinners? Russian sinners? African sinners? Dare I say it, BLACK sinners?

The entire pride ring already feels (and is) hollow enough but the pride ring having no clashing of cultures infighting with each other in between also trying to gain power in an entirely different landscape? Genuinely missed opportunity. But no, her fanbase (and haters) consist of overly sensitive babies who would cry on you about "being mature and adult" while getting mad at anyone who dares to make one small joke on an ethnic group of people that isn't just europeans (British and France specifically) and ((white)) westerners.

They don't want a hell that exactly delves into serious topics or showcase these clashing ethnic groups being able to do whatever they want in a lawless land. No, everyone must be angsty queer twinks that has sex every day, with a hint of some trauma and daddy issues.

Just an inexcusable, abhorrent take of hell and worldbuilding as a whole. Working on this project for about a decade and have done little with it. How? How is that even possible? Genuine question at this point. Why is it taking three seasons for the most basic premise of the show to actually start? Why? I have so many questions that I think I'll reach the character limit (if kf does have one, I don't know) by the time I ask such a laundry list.

Velvette is supposedly black even though that has not been emphasized. I guess Husk will be revealed to be black because of his voice actor. Niffty is Japanese because of her VA. Plus you have Alastor being part black because having a white character who practices voodoo is problematic.

Maybe it's like that scene in the Boondocks where each race has their own Heaven but mixed race and Hispanics end up in white Heaven/Hell.

Besides, for all the shady people that Viv has hired, I'd still rank Stamper as pretty low on that ranking. I also might be wrong on this but even if he definitely had a reputation, he hadn't fully gone off the deep end while the pilot was still in production.
He also did a really good job in that role. I don't have a single bit of criticism for him doing Sir Pentious.

Except that's bullshit. The only reason Stella is a "villain" is because Vivz declared her one. She is literally a designated villain. Why did Vivz do that? She's literally a female misogynist! Let's just face facts here. That's what Vivz is!

I made this point when the show was first announced but Hell will be full of chinks, jeets, muslims, and kikes. That's going to be the largest portion of hell because a lack of faith is a sin.

IIRC one or two of those reviewers did, going as far as to say that their backgrounds might as well not matter they affect the story so little; once a sinner is in Hell, he assimilates into its culture (though I might be smashing two different videos together). Did you know Husk knows Mandarin? Or like seven languages? No? Because that and Nifty knowing/being Japanese were based on their former VAs. Husk apparently worked at an international casino when he was alive. His original VA spoke fluent Mandarin and liked linguistics. Nifty's original actress was a weeb and taught herself the language through Japanese pop songs before going to Japan to study it. Her new one is half Japanese, can apparently understand it but not speak it fluently, and sang it during that Clean It Up song. The irony is people think the Japanese lines were machine translated they sounded so unnatural.

Basically I'd look forward to seeing Abo sinners sleep on the road, African sinners go chop dollars, or Russian sinners sing the Soviet Union's anthem between swigs of vodka.

Well that's just stupid. What culture even is there in hell? Did Vivzie explain that in a livestream from 8 years ago that can only be found through the Wayback Machine in an unlisted video? I would love to see the cultures, customs and mindsets that sinners were forced to accept in hell. But that wouldn't make sense as not every sinner will fall into similar belief systems.

Are we to really believe that every sinner becomes a Westerner once they go to Hell? Do they all become millenial speaking edgelords who swears a lot? That's a pretty dumb way of assimilating. Do they all become white?

Viv, what could you have possibly meant by this?

LoL, ironically, this is where I would agree with xitter & woke tards (for the wrong reasons). Where are the non-Whites in hell? I mean, it's peculiar how we get the diversity of faggotry and troonism, yet they are oddly White and potentially (((white))). I see some nigger or spic here and there, yet there is great potential for some Hindoodoos or Africans and even Asians around; to enhance the world building. Even Jews, damn!

Well, the easier answer would be "writing other cultures is hard. How are we going to write accuretely a Liberian, Burkina Fasean, Qatari, Kyrgyzstani or Nepalese who came to hell?"

The culture is LA. They all become theater kids in LA. Viv is shallow and sees culture as window dressing. Other than language dropping, motifs, and different kinds of black lines, she tried to have hierarchies and justify the singing with Lilith using her songs to rally demons or whatever. But in both HH and HB, neither meant shit.
