Thats interesting because, from all the gameplay I have seen, sprint seems barely faster than normal movement. Some guys on the Steam forums are saying that if you heavily utilize sprint you can clear the campaign in under two hours, it clearly wasn't designed or balanced around it.
Itz barely faster but I think there's something wrong with enemies with regards to it. You can generally sprint past enemies and their AI kind of freaks out and they don't really know how to react. They also miss a lot more when you sprintThats interesting because, from all the gameplay I have seen, sprint seems barely faster than normal movement.
Wait, they used the Blam engine to make the demake in a similar vein as Oblivion Remastered where it was just UE5 caked ontop of Gamebryo? It's not strange when you realize they used Reach's engine to make the game. Since they probably took Halo CE Anniversary and built on top of it, since CE Anniversary was also built on Reach's engine
Because you're a manjesus fucking christ why did i pick heroic
So they remade almost the entire Blam engine with Halo Infinite and a fuckton of contractors (Slipspace)... but were so woefully incompetent that they had to revert all the way back to Blam before they really got thier hands on it with Halo 4 just to have a competent codebase to cake unreal 5 ontop of?Yup, at least that's what google and most people who played the game pre-launch are saying.

i'd have picked legendary but that's cbt in CEBecause you're a man
I think you can actually trace back the psychotic self-destruction of Halo to the rise of CoD's popularity. CoD was Halo's little brother for half a decade, but it surpassed Halo's popularity right as Bungie left Microsoft. So Microsoft, faced with the horrific prospect of having the world's second most popular shooter, decided the best course of action would be to build a studio with devs who despised Halo to the core. These devs predictably changed everything about the series and drove its (still massive) player base away. A wild overcorrection to a "problem" that wouldn't be seen as a problem to anyone besides for Microsoft.I have never seen a company hate their flagship franchise like Microsoft and Xbox do with Halo. Why?
I wish they had released Warzone Firefight on PC.Halo 5's multi-player was competent enough that people focused on that instead of the dogshit campaign.
Yes, all plasma based weapons are better at stripping shields, plasma pistol included. and projectile weapons are better at non shielded targets. And if Halo CE legendary is cbt, I don't even want to know what halo 2 legendary would equate to. Those fucking jackal snipers man...i'd have picked legendary but that's cbt in CE
and was the plasma pistol always this fucking strong?
i'm relying on it more than the magnum
a few shots downs blue elite's shield and kills them and charged brings down any shield
think i'd remember plasma being this good instead of a glorified headshot opener it usually is
We might see it one day. But how old are we going to be when it's done I wonder.I wish they had released Warzone Firefight on PC.
It's not just Halo, they have destroyed every IP that was labeled as "dudebro" by the gamejournos.I have never seen a company hate their flagship franchise like Microsoft and Xbox do with Halo. Why? Why do they hate it so much that each game is more and more shit. Then, they have the gall to just shit on Master Chief who’s basically Xbox’s mascot.
i just don't remember plasma doing enough to kill enemies after downing shieldsYes, all plasma based weapons are better at stripping shields, plasma pistol included. and projectile weapons are better at non shielded targets. And if Halo CE legendary is cbt, I don't even want to know what halo 2 legendary would equate to. Those fucking jackal snipers man...
I can excuse that since Bungie wanted to try something new, plus this was their last game. If it didn't work, who cares? They already had a great trilogy and a decent side game with ODST, they can clean their hands of the franchise regardless. It was up to 343 to evolve this new system, make something else that works or at least stick with what worked, they did neither of the above. The best Halo games made since Reach is MCC, which is just a collection of older games with a new coat of paint, and Halo Wars 2, a fucking RTS.This already started with Reach.
It's really strange how much campaign evolved plays like and poorly apes Reach. Reach is objectively speaking the least Halo-like Halo game (sprint, weapon bloom, clunky movement etc) and was a product of the devs being sick and tired of making Halo games so wanting to experiment.
That stupid stun roar the elites do when you pop their shields is from reach and it's just as dumb in the demake as it was in Reach.
I always wished they reworked Warzone in Infinite or something as a 4-8 player team vs the NPC bosses. The grunt mech that taunted you through a loudspeaker was fun.I wish they had released Warzone Firefight on PC.
That is unironically what I wanted for Infinite Firefight but of course 343i went with something lame to save money (same multiplayer maps but useless vehicles and guns.I always wished they reworked Warzone in Infinite or something as a 4-8 player team vs the NPC bosses. The grunt mech that taunted you through a loudspeaker was fun.
Or at least if they properly balanced the weapons you could spawn in so one team didnt end up trapped in spawn while the other spawns in legendary weapons that oneshot across the map.
