Half Life Episode 3 Script "Leaked" - Main Writer Marc Laidlaw makes his own ending
Maybe as the screen fades to black at the conclusion of HL3, you hear footsteps behind you and a familiar voice say, "Now about that beer I owed you..."
From what I can gather the G-Man is just an "un-person" with an ungodly creepy look who just needed Gordon Freeman as an asset, maybe he's a parallel manifestation of Gordon? Perhaps, perhaps not.
This is good enough for me honestly, and now everyone can stop with the fucking crowbar memes .
While I wasn't TOO heavily invested in the series. I had fun with the games I played. (HL2, ep 1 and 2)
So it's kinda sad to see such a well done series fall to the wayside.
It's funny, not too long ago, Valve was considered by many to be champions in the game industry. Now they're just a shell of what they used to be. A very wealthy shell mind you but still.
If they want something new and something not seen to create Half-Life 3 or episode 3, why not just make a short animation serie, that would be unexpected and new from valve

I remember hearing about that awhile back. IIRC, the Expiration Date short was made as a pilot of sorts. Would have been interesting to see how a full series would have fared, considering how popular the "Meet the Team" videos were/are.
Due to the hype regarding the Laidlaw script, Tyler McVicker (the autist who runs Valve News Network) and his collaborators have put together a mod that showcases all the developmental assets and artifacts of HL3 that have been leaked by Valve over the years.
