I would cite the Sims as a girl game if not for how guys play it too. Not to the same dramatic extent though.

Well to be fair The Sims does feature the very basic idea of dress up games seeing as how you can create your own Sims, which includes choosing their outfits. But it goes way beyond these games seeing as how you can really thoroughly customize hair, eyes, faces, bodies, and even the clothes they wear.

Neopets has a lot of girls playing it.

I'd have to say that customization in Neopets involves immense patience compared to these horrible games. Buying the right clothes can cost a lot of the in-game currency, but that's not even taking into account buying Paint Brushes to thoroughly change a Neopet's physical appearance. The cheapest brushes can cost over 10k points. Moderately expensive ones cost well over 100k. But most of them cost 1 million points, minimum. Obviously it'd take months to accumulate that much in order to have your ideal Neopet, and that isn't even taking into account the stuff you can buy using actual money.
