Arthur moves like he’s wading through mud. Every turn takes forever, animations lock you in place way too long, and the controls feel floaty and unresponsive.
You don't love watching 10 second cabinet opening and searching animations 4000 times a playthrough? What are you, a pleb?

For me I dropped RDR 2 after the first bounty hunter mission. When I rode up on the guy at his campfire and realized he was just sitting still and I couldn't instantly lasso or shoot him, I knew immediately that I was about to be stuck in a shitty boring set piece with a predetermined outcome, and who could have guessed: it was exactly that. Ten minutes of a boring chase sequence (boring because it's so railroaded that there's no tension given it's all scripted) later and I pressed alt+F4 and uninstalled the piece of shit. 150 gigabytes of wasted storage space.

Fuck Rockstar.

And it has mostly centered around the "hah, look at this poor, can't afford $100" fallacy where the actual reason for the outrage is dodged entirely.
I know you're not talking to me, but I hate that fallacy in question. Could I afford $80/$100 for GTA VI? Sure. But, that's not the point of protest. The point is, again, they're asking more while providing less than what they've done five, ten, even twenty years ago.

This also sets a precedent for other companies to replicate what GTA VI is proposing as "value" to the consumer in question. Basically, if you buy this, it sends a message that this practice is okay to do. Of course, the game industry has implemented greedy practices that others have accepted as standard now. Whether THIS would finally bite them in the ass remains to be seen.

Everything they have shown is miles ahead of any other game developer. The level of detail on characters, vehicles, the world itself, and the sheer size of it, it's unlike anything seen before and somehow they fitted it in a PS5
Imagine buying a game because of how "good" it looks, instead of going off of gameplay. And no, a large world doesn't make it good. It's about how deep the features are, and how fun they are to interact with. What do you want to play EU5 or EU4? Or Victoria 3 over Victoria 2 because they "look better" and included so much more. Because wow, EU5 sure has a lot of provinces.

Will they even release a gameplay trailer before it drops or are they gonna try and sell it with zero gameplay shown?

Will we get to see Dean Takahashi and Kotaku drive worse than a drunk asian while missing every shot that isn't a snap onto target before release?

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but is this not one of the weakest performing console generations? What kind of ROI do they genuinely expect to see in the first year? Do they expect people to rush out and buy a console just for their product, in this economy?
Thanks for reminding me. That is correct, so to speak. These mid-refresh consoles are more expensive than their initial launch. Typically, consoles would get cheaper five years or so after their release. That is not the case now.

GTA VI is rumored to have a $1-2 billion budget. So, they need VI to sell like hotcakes and then some to potentially break even. Meaning, they need to not only sell to existing customers, but hope that new consumers would buy consoles, then buy GTA VI. That's a hefty investment, especially compared to before, just to play a video game.

You know people will do it

I am very intelligent.

At least now we know it's console-only because PC users would crack the ultimate edition customizations within hours.
Good to know that in 2026 console goyim are still holding the industry back.
Consoles themselves aren't to blame for this. It's Rockstar's business proposition. Nothing is stopping them from creating a PC port 1:1 with a console release; they're deliberately holding back a PC port to double dip potential purchases.

I'm definitely gonna buy it, but my expectations are low. I feel like they have managed a lot of the chaos out of the game, from the trailers. I've been playing the original Vice City the past few weeks on and off. In retrospect, the gameplay feels ancient. And this is from someone who owned a 2600 when it was the hottest thing on the market! I know this isn't right, but I feel like Vice City is less advanced than the N64 and Dreamcast games. I love the GTA franchise, but wow, is Vice City just this basic game that relied 100% on chaos. But adding a woman? Taking out the hookers? Making it a love story? I have zero doubt that the gameplay will be amazing. It will be. They just removed some of the fun.

Even Ubisoft, as far as I know, did not gate single player customization behind a paywall.
this is the least true thing ever. companies have been selling single-player customization in deluxe editions for over a decade now, probably longer. i really don't understand this criticism, you have people in this very thread lauding Rockstar for locking entire expansions behind DLC paywall, but cosmetics for pre-order is too far? i feel like people are looking for an excuse to doompost.
$100 is pretty reasonable imo.
i also don't know why people expect gaming companies specifically to never adjust for inflation. instead of blaming the Federal Reserve for making the dollar worthless, they turn into socialists and complain that companies make too much money and fuck capitalism and shiet.

Última edición:
If Lucia was an older White woman or perhaps a younger White woman with Marilyn Monroe or Jean Harlow aesthetics for preorder, MAYBE…

I’m sure somebody made a joke about VI being a shopping simulator. Well, this just confirms it.
What if we added an old white dude, like Johnny Weissmuller?

Your obssesive passive-agressive comments about GTA VI makes me scare.

Your optimism seems extreme. If GTA VI flops, what do you want to do?
Okay, it was THIS guy above that was saying I was too optimistic about GTA VI. Now, that optimism has waned given recent developments. You happy now?

See this post linked above because I do not want to repeat myself. This isn't just some outfits or cars locked behind its ultimate edition, it's four storefronts designed for customization that are locked behind a paywall.

How many times can you run over peds and shoot cops? GTA is a relic of the 2000s that only retards still follow. The PS2 games are ancient, but they aren't without a lack of charm and good music. They were more honest on how the real world works. San Andreas is about a bunch of criminal niggers being unrepentant criminals, you know, like reality. GTAV the nigger in that is treated like the only one that was redeemable.

Rockstar devs are now a bunch champagne socialist, fat fucking White women that worship brown people and hate republicans.
