$100 to watch cutscenes, forced walking sequences, and missions so railroaded you'll be punished for even picking up your controller at the wrong moment? And in a year you'll have to pay a subscription to listen to the music used in game at launch to maintain licensing fees? I can't wait!
NakeyJakey may have started an epidemic of annoying microphone youtubers but he was 1000000% correct about the horrendous narrowing of gameplay in modern rockstar games. I have zero reason to believe 6 will be any better. The problem is that average consumers don't think about any of it. They play games like they watch movies, and judge them accordingly.

I just flat out ain't buying this shit at $100 for a digital fucking code. Maybe, MAYBE I would have considered paying those fuckass prices if a disc was included.
I was planning on grabbing it pre-owned a little while after it came out, but I guess they already anticipated that. They must be really under pressure to juice their ROI on this. I remember it was found (or maybe just rumoured) that it was something like $2 billion to make. It'll make way more than that, but I wonder if they're trying to get it to make more than GTAV did relative to its budget.

No mention of any single player (story) DLC either. Sigh. I’m thinking the next GTA Online would be free to play, but I wouldn’t hold my breath. If there’s a barrier of entry, that’s less people to potentially monetize. Oh, and don’t forget about recent legislation that requires IDs to create accounts in some countries.

How big would this download be? 150 GBs, 200? I also predict they’ll “course correct” after launch with a disc version over time. Some people may not even access their premium content or worse, be treated to bugs and poor optimization.

From the QA on the ps store. "gta 6 is a single player experience". now the cynic in me is saying that online will be its own standalone thing, or once it launches it'll be a paid "expansion"
Yeahh. They've been dodging the multiplayer question for a while now, in such a way that they've probably been hoping to fleece their audience into thinking that GTA6 is actually their newest GTAO when it isn't. It's pretty obviously not the next GTAO update, which, makes it all even more baffling that they've taken this long to make a new singleplayer game.

The prices do not surprise me in the slightest. The GTAO playerbase is nuts in a way I can't fully explain. It has the same kind of delusional rich retardation that ConcernedApes NFTs waft. (There's other weirdos too, like the animal morph roleplayers, but I don't see them being the same kind of big spenders as nepobabies larping a virtual "thug lyfe".) Rockstar dropped RDO support for GTAO. They've been sharting out constant ugly dogshit cosmetic microtransaction mini drops that the fanbase eats up and never complains about. They even THANK Rockstar for it. The GTAO paypiggies set the tone for paylocked content, in addition to longtime GTA singleplayer fans begging and pleading for GTA6 for so long, lol. Sims 4 simps also showed them just how much they could price gauge the "virtual life" audience, so expect them to just continue dropping paid DLC again and again and again, regardless of if GTA6 flops.

The game isn't going to do anything revolutionary. The 13 year hype will eat it alive with expectations that were far too high for it to feasibly achieve, despite the fat price tags. It'll be yet another lesson in curbing expectations that gamer manchildren are not able to comprehend. The coping will be great, the gaslighting will be weak. They're paying for brand name, not innovation or optimization.

I truly cannot wait for the inevitable disaster shitstorm. And yes, pirate the fuck out of it if you feel inclined to touch it, assuming they didn't do that awful scummy thing where they expect you to constantly be online in an offline singleplayer game just to try to stop piracy/cheating nobody cares about.

Última edición:
If Lucia was an older White woman or perhaps a younger White woman with Marilyn Monroe or Jean Harlow aesthetics for preorder, MAYBE…

I’m sure somebody made a joke about VI being a shopping simulator. Well, this just confirms it.
Actually, I’m dumb. I changed my mind. Blue Velvet like cosmetics. That’s an 80s movie.

And they have that tan. Hell, some serious storytelling like Blue Velvet would elevate VI into a satisfying crime drama.

Details about the pre orders are live and rockstar and uh. What's this? locking customization options behind the deluxe edition. Fucking lmao Rockstar's going to do everything to milk the cows aren't they?

Imma be honest gta is gay shit for retards at 40 dollars, at 80 dollars you gotta love sucking balls for the flavor if you buy it

You can tell they’re going all in on nostalgia from Vice City, yet still need to make it “modern.” All of that will clash against each other. Let me repeat this, they’re asking you to pay EXTRA for nostalgia.

I can't wait for the leaks.
This is the zoomer game of the decade, they all grew up playing GTA5 and all the tiktok faggets are going to try and steal an early copy from a store for the 5 minutes of fame.
It's inevitable.
Also there is no way this is ever going to flop, it doesn't matter how bad it is, the zoomers are absolutely rabid about GTA, if you watch any GTAV shit on youtube you'll realize that they don't understand how badly they are going to get fucked because all they've ever played is GTA and fifa.

I am also convinced that the $80 & $100 price tags and virtual download codes exist for two main reasons.

The first is the most obvious, cutting out the scalper middleman that having a physical copy these days causes. Rockstar wants the money that scalpers would've earned from scalping physical copies. They also keep all the funds they make just offering virtual codes rather than having to fund the production of physical copies. Not offering physical is an anti-consumer practice, especially if the company can revoke your access to the game and make you have to buy it all over again at a later date/force you off from the old game to convince you to buy the next one.

The second is just simply cashing in on the streamers and diehard fan hype. The time to charge fans the most is actually right at the gate, rather than later into a game's lifespan when the hype has died down. Streamers who play games as a career already often write off the games they buy as part of business expenses, so Rockstar sees no qualms in upcharging the content creators who have the money and depend on getting the game as quickly as possible to stream and react to. The fans who urgently need it and won't wait for a sale are just extra cash.

>not a single mention of RP players
lol
lmao even
yous a retard, cuckstar knows their GTAVI won't run on a lot of shitboxes because of the current socioeconomic factors so they are obviously weighing if they want to continue with the GTAO folks or if they want to kickstart GTAO2, especially with the whole character migration shit that many will ask.

GTAVI succeeding or not in the current jeet/paki-infested paid shilling is meh at best, at worst we will know what to expect once rockstar releases the gameplay trailer, they know they can't delay the game anymore and i wonder if the time they took to course-correct some issues will acutally fix the shitty situation internally caused by the horde of jeets they hired, which means kike zelnick isn't as dumb as your regular jew, even if he fails he knows he can golden parachute or retire anyway so he is betting on VI succeeding.

I’m sure the base game would be massive where printing discs would be more expensive on top of preventing potential leaks. This may be the only AAA game yet that cannot be exchanged.
