I'm surprised they didn't add some sort of artificial fog to at least ensure that this wouldn't happen.
But overall it seems like the original atmospheres of each of the games have been demolished in favor of the HD aesthetic fanboys like.

Token black guy, guy in the under armour shirt, tall guy to the left and center behind the discord t-shirt faggot, and the girl in the maroonish colored pants look about the only 4 I could probably bare sharing space with. Everyone else looks about as insufferable as you'd imagine a modern day video game developer would be. And even the ones I picked out are probably cocksuckers too. The amount of twitter accounts with pronouns in the bio must be staggering.

My new theory is that it's like MCC where it's an Unreal Engine wrapper that acts as a menu between games and maybe replacing the pause screen, except unlike MCC it will never be fixed.

The songs are only disabled by a script too.
they have RAGE where they could port this game to by asking rockstar for the engine yet all they did was open UE4 and the renderware sources, copy/paste the code and switch the functions to the UE ones, literally for a quick cash grab.
