MLW may have terrible production value, but their creative is decent and their roster is mostly people who can actually work, so they are pretty far ahead of TNA in the important ways.

He was so good that Vince did something that he never usually did and actually let Jericho go to Japan while he was under contract and have a match with Kenny.
That was UNHEARD of for Vince. You know there was a small part of him that said "Well, I kind of want to watch this match, pal!"

Jericho was not under contract, and he actually put off signing one because he couldn’t get a carve-out to work NJPW, and Vince rescinded a contract offer because of it.
The NJPW situation and Vince not understanding the idea of a cruise with actual wrestling shows on it were why Jericho decided he wasn’t interested in going back to WWE and deciding to sign on as one of the first AEW roster members.
He would have been an EVP like the Elite members, but he didn’t want to be too tied to the company in case it failed, a decision he has said he feels like an asshole for in hindsight.

Makes more sense. To be fair I was assuming that he was in WWE at the time because this was in an era when I was watching Japanese stuff and I had given up on WWE.
Speaking of WWE I adore that Tony decided to run collision tonight instead of it's usual time because he wants Summerslam to run unopposed so they have nothing to blame the catastrophic failure on.
They aren't even going to be able to say "Well, we lost some viewers because aew ran collision against us." Nope, sorry fella. Collision was on Thursday this week. Tony is giving you the stage uninterrupted to completely fucking bomb.
Where are we at now with two days left to go? 30,000 seats in an 80,000 capacity seat arena?
Too bad HBO owns the trademark to it because they should change the name of their fans from the WWE universe to "The last of us".

What did Val Venis do to piss off the troons? Did he change the beginning of his theme music to "Hello Biological Ladies" or something?
And stay up all night to make sure Shawn Michaels was still breathing and hadn't overdosed on pills.
I liked the finish with Orton countering the crippler into an RKO.

Purely the logistics angle. It fucked things up for booking the last time AEW fully participated, injuries couldn’t be covered by switching people out because those people were on a boat in the Caribbean.
It would either have to be a situation where they do the show from the ship, which was a massive undertaking, or bow out of participating, which is a lot easier and cheaper.

The only good decision that I have heard WWE make recently is making Austin theory more prevalent in his group and stop trying to make Maxine a wrestler and making her arm candy for a heel Austin Theory.
She's a bad wrestler but she's a piece of ass who can probably get the crowd riled up to hate Austin More and that's exactly what she should be doing.

Looking at the roster through the AE through now, we may have only had like, 4 different people be Champions if Wrestling was legit. Something like, dealers choice between Severn and Shamrock, then Kurt, then Brock. It's sorta like how if Wrestling was Legit the Big Show would probably have the most Royal Rumble wins in history.
I stand by saying it, but the actual Wrestling is maybe the 5th most important part about Pro Wrestling.
