Internet Aristocrat pointed the double standard out. They are "bloggers" when people point out they have no journalistic integrity.

But the minute they can get something out of it. Press passes, review copies, tickets to E3. They're journalists, and they'll write it broadly on their resume like a badge of honor
 
I'm just going to refer to them as bloggers from now on as I mentioned before. It's sort of sad actually, when I was growing up I had a penchant for writing and loved video games so I thought I could be some cool video game journalist. Being too stupid to live out my old dream, after this entire thing I'm actually glad I didn't get into it. I can't imagine my entire livelihood being held by it's balls because of some rainbow haired hipster drama lizard and her squad of beta cucks obeying her every command.

I've fucking hated Kuchera for a while, mostly because he's a smug prick who treats his fucking readerbase with absolute sneering fucking patronization, and has done so for years. This is the same fuck-knuckle who's been proudly screaming the USED GAMES ARE KILLING GAMES DEVELOPMENT canard, the same fucker who's tried to excuse UbiSoft's lack of halfway fucking competent PC porting, and tried to argue that the entire Xbox One DRM bullshit was a good thing. He long ago got himself distanced from more credible sources.

A really interesting bit for Jim Sterling fans is how Jim used to preface disagreements with Kuchera with respectful foreward but in his last disagreement with him (over the Tomb Raider debacle), Jim just dropped all pretext and literally said "Fuck that," when Kuchera argued that we should stop looking at back-alley deals like this one from the eyes of a consumerbase.

But now, his being a fucking obvious schill who treats his customerbase like he doesn't want a fucking career almost seems like the least of it. We know now he's one of the primary culprits in this doxxing bullshit, and is probably criminally liable. Seeing this arrogant piece of fucking filth get his just desserts would be fucking glorious.
 
I know much of this shit is getting exaggerated or taken too seriously, and I generally would laugh if something happened to 4chan users because the userbase has turned into such a shit-smelling cauldron of autism over the last few years that I've lost any sympathy, but the thing with Moot defecting... well, damn, that's some shit. A lot of those retards really have nowhere to "belong" per se because 4chan is literally the only site that will tolerate them, as much of a hugbox/shit cauldron as it is, and I've always cut them a little bit of slack in a "retarded little brother" kind of way. They're not bad people, they're just the edgy 14 year olds of the Internet, really, and most of them will eventually grow out of being cringeworthy unfunny and git good.

But I mean, out of everyone on the planet that could join the SJW movement, and at such a critical time as well - Moot? Really? Fucking Moot? Shit I would get irrationally upset about that too.
 
So, guys, I didn't just post that because I wanted to laugh at an anti. I posted that because hell, it needs to be poked apart and proven wrong. But I'm not sure how I'd do that. What do you guys suggest?

It was such a punch in the dick, IMHO, because of this fact. 4chan is a cesspit, yes, but there's another side to it - a better side. For all of 4chan's undiluted shit and chaos, there was good in it. If the Chantards chose to fight for something, they could make it happen. I know of times when they helped unite families, helped kickstarters for games, and held idiots to account. 4chan was our best, and our worst. It was all of us, magnified and making airplane sounds as we ran around the isles of the Internet's collective grocery store, knocking cans of lima beans over.

They'll find a new home eventually. 4chan's enjoyment didn't come from the site, it came from the community. It will rise again.

ADDENDUM: I always had this feeling that any attempt to bribe, coerce, or otherwise influence the likes of the CWCki would end about as well as trying to get Don Hertzfeldt to do commercials:

I don't think it will. I think there will be several smaller sites similar to 4chan, but no large one to unite them all like they were before. Eventually those smaller site will collapse from sperging or be abandoned due to boredom.

I just don't think there will ever be another site like 4chan.

That was said a lot when individual niche chans popped up, and most are still doing fine, though. We lost several in the Anontalk debacle, and a few due to neglect and such, but that doesn't change that many are still around. So long as there's a need, people will fill it. It many not be a perfect fit, it may not be 100% exactly like it was before, but that almost doesn't matter if the other needs are met. My experience tells me that there will be another place found eventually.

Wonder who the P-whipped beta was that called that guy's place of employment. I won't lie, I am in a similar situation as BlackTridentTV -- someone else is dependent upon me financially, that's why I don't post about #GamerGate because I know some shitlord will try to ruin things for me as well. That's a really fucking shitty scare tactic to employ especially because so many companies are just as dickless as the SJW's getting people fired.
