I am blown away at how quickly 4chan is falling apart. I hope moot knows that his 4chan stigma won't ever be forgotten by his current social circle. SJWs always eventually cannibalize their own, especially if the ammunition to do so is as overt and obvious as facilitating 4chan.

(I was skeptical of atechins at first but I am liking it. The infinitely expanding thing is really clever and it's easy to see how it will keep the board going in the long-term compared to some other chans. Hope it sticks around.)

You're right: they have a political agenda to follow. They're right-wing. But what about this makes them wrong? Why is 'right-wing' automatically a depreciative in this case? Is it truly impossible for someone to find truth in the opposite side?

Because they are known propagandists who hate everything associated with 'liberalism' including equal rights, gay rights, women's issues, etc. They are, bar none, one of the worst anti-social issues outlets there are. Well, unless you think the handmaids tale is a how to guide.
Some sources just cannot be trusted to report the news rather then propaganda, and well, this is one of those outlets.
There are very few, VERY few people who do not agree with the main points of equality in gender and race relations, the problem is that in this conversation it's being used to obfuscate the topic that goes against the interest of the people involved, because it affects them directly they take issue with it of course and because the people working with them are their friends? Well you're not gonna throw a friend under the bus right? They're doing this dumb goal post changing bullshit where any attempt to have a conversation about the issue at hand is derailed with cries of mysoginy and bullshit, what's worse is that even when both sides, the people at the top uninvolved in this part, are being reasonable they each refuse to listen to each other. In the end the whole issue would be solved if:
A) We addressed the Gender/Race/lack of variety/equal representation issue within the industry
B) If we took a long hard fucking look at the fucked up state of the journalism side of things because they've been bad for a long, loooooong time
C) If people stopped fucking cherry picking each other to death
D) If we/they set up a massive call to arms in order to report every single fucking death threat and actual harrasment, uncovering both the fake ones and the real one
E) If we treated people like fucking adults rather than children who need to be protected because criticism of their skewed opinions might be openly criticized.

The thing is, a lot of the women being bashed are the sort of women who fought against the ERA decades ago, and bought into the conservative propaganda about a women's place in society (basically chattel) and the comic book villain version of feminism or liberalism. They have been trained to see all feminists as lesbian man haters, who bash you for giving a woman a compliment and demand woman be superior in all things to men. Which of course, is pretty far from the reality of what most women's advocates are for. Much like civil rights, a lot seem to be the the 'fuck you I got mine' or 'you issues are inferior to my issues' sort of folks, and thus blinded from the actual issue at play.
As for most people agreeing with the ideal of diversity and equality? Far from it, sadly. There are entire industries built around denial of rights and subjugation of minorities. Here in texas, they fight tooth and nail to maintain a white anglo-saxon, far right view of the world, to the point of historical revisionism and voter suppression. Even national, anything pro-equality or civil rights is blocked by the GOP in congress, and in pretty much every state they control. Hell, look at the opposition to the movement to improve rape protection in colleges. Methinks a lot of these folks were on the rapey side of things, and fear punishment, or think it's just how things go at parties and such.
In the GG movement, they are a ton of anti-social issues, MRA folks, etc, who seem to have hijacked the movement and turned it into a 'sjw' witch hunt. Don't believe me? read any of the posts that pop up when someone mentioned the dreaded word 'diversity' on many game forums, worst of all placed like 4chan. Or the responses to any social issues in videogames post on a site that accepts comments.
Are there legit issues with journalism? Sure, there have been several famous incidents of clashes between advertisers, publishers, and the folks who review games.
As for the issues:
A: yes, and every time it comes up, you get tons of shitposts crying out against the topic. Every damn time. Even the 'list of demands' from the GG movement basically dog whistles that they want to end all discussion of it, by banning 'politics or ideology' in game journalism.
B: Indeed, and there are folks legitimately interested in that. But the GG folks have way oversold it, trying to make the lack of sympathy for their cause into some sort of mass conspiracy angainst MRA/ pro social issues. In reality, folks just don't want to be associated with them. Instead of going after legit issues and companies known to push the journalism side around, such as the big publishers, they attack smaller devs and diversity folks. Why?
C: The loudest voices are sadly dominating the discussion, to the downside of everyone else.
D: This would be nice, but i'm not sure how you'd compile or confirm such a thing.
E: The only way you are going to get this is with heavy moderation and no anonymity. Even then, i've seen people post plenty of brainless crap that 30 seconds of google-fu could tell you was a crock of crap. Hell, i've seen people spout it in real life.

I still wouldn't call that a "reasonable" tirade, especially with the implication that #GG supporters are (at least would-be) rapists, or their apparent no idea how women are treated in non-American cultures (or historically, either). No one on #GG, or the GOP, for that matter, are advocating that women shouldn't vote. Or the whole "witch hunt" idea...have they doxxed any SJWs, for instance, ruined anyones lives?

I said the guy was reasonable; although he disagrees and isn't interested in seeing our side, he isn't trying to get anyone on that site banned or insulting the ones discussing it - well, directly at least.

And no. That's the funny thing. We have more evidence of anti-#GG folks doxxing or ruining people's lives, but they won't listen. They'll cheer Leigh Alexander on.
