I mentioned earlier it's very unlikely these devs actually watch Anita's videos and actually know the whole story related to Zoe.

More than likely their P/R person has just read about this and thought "hey I think women should have more representation. Why are these people harassing this poor defenseless woman". Like Thunderf00t posted a very good video on how much of a hypocrite Joss Whedon is for supporting Anita. And the only real explanation for his support of her is out of ignorance.

If you actually sat one of them down more than likely they'd agree with you about all of this. The fact of the matter is unless the media wants to represent it fairly, misinformation is going to run rampant.

I think that's the case for most of the team, but Moomanibe (the animator and artist of the team) seems to be the true sjw of the group. I know I unfollowed him a long time ago on twitter due to his occasional ramblings that would veer into SJW territory which got annoying after awhile. Though he's stayed kind of mum on gamergate, what he retweets and who he retweets seems to show clear enough what he thinks. It's not like he's retweeting a game article, he's retweeting @femfreq.

So /v/ started to ban #GG threads and folks even trying to ask why they're banned. So many theories, from SJW False flag to m00t selling out and drinking the kool-aid. It's a clusterfuck. A lot of people went to 8chan to continue discussions.

Zoe at one point said she couldn't wait for Destiny to come out because people would forget about Gamergate. It was sorta her insulting people who didn't like her for short attention spans.

I'm assuming this person thought that the game got negative ratings because of that.

Apparently the official reason is closer to "This isn't video games"

Because the appropriate solution to "the threads are clogging up the boards" is not to immediately delete all of them as soon as they spring up. They'd instead create an official sticky that everyone would have to post in. This is the mods officially trying to remove any discussion about this sort of thing. And now other websites are jumping at the opportunity to champion free speech and let this be discussed.

Meanwhile this image came out and it's extremely useful.

It was a rhetorical question, but I didn't know about the Quinn statement, so thanks!

Off topic:
I don't think it's a bad game, it's just average. But the hype had some people thinking it would be the best thing since sliced god, so I can see why they would be a little more harsh than it deserves.
 
Seems to me that Z Quinn is stoking the flames herself. You don't write an article on Cracked.com about a shitstorm unless you want to bring even more people into the shitstorm.

Ill stay out of it personally. Neckbeards and SJWs have it at some more.
 
4chan's been exploding over the past few hours after news of the shadowbans and ranged IP bans has been brought to light. Any threads relating to GamerGate at all, on any of the boards. Ranging from /pol/ to even /b/ which is supposed to allow for anything. Are immediately removed.

All the boards are being spammed over Gamergate. People are really pissed off about this and are demanding Moot make a statement toward it. Since he previously championed freedom of speech.

At the risk of sounding like a prick, I can kind of see where Moot's coming from on this, even if I don't really agree with it. Moot's just trying to look out for his *chan, and as an oldfag old enough to remember the original raid and loli bans, I can understand this frame of thinking. The original raid bans and loli bans happened to protect 4chan from retaliatory legal/civic action, and to thwart pedophiles, who had taken to posting CP on /b/. He should have posted this way earlier, mind you, instead of letting the hypothetical madness train board at the station and taking everyone involved for a trip around Crazytown, but then, I don't know what the hell he's been up to the last few days, and I've had my power out for the better part of a day.
