Now that I'm thinking about it, a while back in the SJW thread (couple months to a year ago) someone asked what would happen if SJW's ever had any legitimate power. Well the answer is here, if they're given just an inkling of power, they try to go full violent revolution with it.
They will use all means of control, be it lie, cheat, steal, bribe, manipulate, intimidate, extort, and blackmail, to shut down all fact checking, criticism and opposition to their brand of SJW rhetoric and make sure that their viewpoint (or in this case a product) goes unquestioned and they are on the top with all the power and money. Anyone that challenges that alone better be prepared to face the Internet Terrors.
The thing is about SJW's and really any movement, all of them have followers and leaders. You have your tumblrites who sit around whining about "oppression" while you have the Zoe Quinns who actually crawl out of their basements and put their whining into action.
I think Forbes got it right. Isn't the writer one of the assholes though?(Erik Kain,
@EleSigma ?) He also got wizardchan right, which seems to be a first.
I'm going to remove him since the more I've read from the other articles he wrote, the more he actually seems unbiased and is really fed up with both sides and seems to have an educated take on it all. In a Sep. 1 article:
http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2014/09/01/the-gamer-is-dead-long-live-the-gamer/ he seems to describe himself as a moderate in the whole thing at least.
I'm thinking about removing Egoraptor too, though I'm on the fence about that one. On one hand I think the other posters here are right in that Arin has a well known habit of blabbering on issues he has no idea about or should be a part of. On the other hand there is the chance he might actually support Zoe's side for some dumb and misinformed reason. It's a wait and see thing with me, maybe he will clarify his statement later on? Or one of the other grumps will chime in?
