When I saw the last Mad Max movie, it felt like Max was being shoved into second billing in his own goddamn movie, so that this is being forced out is the least shocking thing in the world.

The amount of CGI already being shown off ensures this will be shit. Half the fun of Fury Road comes from it using actual vehicles in the desert; take that away and you're left with a cheap knockoff.

Chris Hemsworth and Anya Taylor-Joy are usually pretty good, but George Miller has become a complete faggot, and the trailer really just kind of looks like shit (way too much CGI and too many memberberries). Also it's got that irksome Alien/Star Trek prequel syndrome - why is her fake arm way better tech in the past? I mean I guess in this case maybe the science behind it decayed, but it's still just irritating because if there's one thing you'd keep in good repair, it's your fucking arm.

I don't know, looks very mid or worse, and I'm suspecting way, way, WAY worse just based on the fact that every single fucking time they've changed an iconic hero's sex, it's been an utter shit movie (I realize she's not really Max, but for all intents and purposes, let's face it). I mean Max and the bad guys were the only good parts of Fury Road anyway, and you're turning one into a woman, and neutering the others (probably)...so...I'll just expect utter shit until I see otherwise.

I don't plan on seeing this at a theater unless I'm very much mistaken. And when it comes to expecting something to be shitty, I'm almost never. Ever. Wrong.

I mean, isnt that always a thing? Aside from the 1st movie, in both the 2nd and 3rd Max was never the main focus, he was just someone who stumbles into movie and just does shit, Fury Road wasnt any different from that formula.

I really disliked Fury Road and the series is extremely late and gay, so who fucking cares? The show is going to be action scenes interspersed with"men are bad" like the film, probably with some doomed lesbian romance to justify when Joe "went too far".

Wait, this is a show? I thought it was a film prequel. Maybe they changed it in the half decade since I first read about it.

Anyway, Anya Whatsherweirdlyproportionedbutnothidiouslysoface is usually good at picking films to be in, so that's a hopeful point in its favor, and I'd rather look at her than modern day femcel Theron, I guess. But that makeup still doesn't do either of them favors.

Considering that George Miller was working on Fury Road for over a decade, he must have made up some backstory for those characters that he wanted to explore.

I think I can figure out the plot of the movie looking back at the trailer.

Furiosa is kidnapped by Lord Dementus (Liam Hemsworth) and forced to fight in an arena. Immortan Joe is impressed by her skill and recruits her into his army.

Years pass and Lord Dementus goes to war against Immortan Joe. Furiosa gleefully fights her former kidnapper, perhaps through manipulation by Immortan Joe, only to realize that both warlords were fighting after the Wives. If you don’t remember, those are the five girls that Immortan Joe used try to create his perfect heir.

Furiosa will be enraged at the fact that she has become like Lord Dementus, giving other people over to Immortan Joe to be used as an object, much like she and the war boys are used. Such bitterness will lead to her conspiring to free the Wives in Fury Road.
