If the chinese slave labor jobs had not been exported from the US along with the factories then the jobs wouldn't be nearly as comparable to slavery and there would be multiple towns that still had a decent economy and more buying power within the nation. Who was Hamid Karzai? Installed by the U.S., he had initially been working with the Northern Alliance. Current opposition leader Abdullah Abdullah was also Northern Alliance. Mohammed Fahim was a military leader of the NA. Immediately after 2001 he was the Defense Minister. It's the same batch of people.

And yes it was riddled with corruption because so was its predecessor and because it was composed of crooks and perverts from the NA.
